100% East Coast

I'll try to go up to Washington with Omar but chances are looking to good.

These are the only dates I'm going to spare in my vacation Omar. I'm leaving for DC on Monday or Tuesday. Saturday is fairly safe.

Dad said theres a chance but he doesn't know if he can get off work on Saturday. If that happens i can probably get a ride from some one.

I would have to fly which creates a problem financially, and I doubt my parents would let me do it. Always an option though. Do remember I am 16 and am still in grade school.

Here is what I would guess would have to happen in my schedule for this...
Take Friday off of school, get a flight to Washington DC for cheap. Somehow I would have to find lodging for Friday night. Maybe someone from WG would already be there and have a place to stay? Hang out with WG Saturday and fly out on Sunday.

Darth should come up with the money and we both fly out of Pensacola.
It would be just under $400.

Don't spend that much dude.
It's just a single day with friends.
Shame though. Would have been awesome to meet you.

Actually im doing a report over the postal service and there is a museum in DC that we planning to go to some time in December ill do all I can to have us there in this day.

You are truly amazing! What a wonderful thing for you to do. Too bad you can't be in Washington DC in the spring when all the cherry trees are in bloom. Be certain to visit the Lincoln memorial at night. Have a safe trip and a great time.

I wish my health would allow me to be there, but things are not so good for me right now.

Wish I could but DC is a bit far for me, and I'll probably be pre-occupied IRL since there are tons of exams and projects due the week before Christmas.

Washington, DC it is 100 percent. I would suggest that you pick a monument side because the crowds can be quite large and you do not know what we look like but of course we will look for you.

Sorry that I did not reply to his Lordship's post earlier about NY or Niagra Fall. I asked when you were going to be there because is you need to set up a RL meeting in those places it is within a days drive from my residence and if necessary to make up a group Joe and I possibly could go to those locations or DC and those locations. Can you say road trip.

TY Darth location I is fine with me but a possible location would help. The monument is huge and the crowds are pretty heavy at times. It would be a real bummer to be there and not meet because we could not find each other.

I'm still living with my parents and can't drive -- and my step-father's pretty conservative; I'm not sure how meeting strangers over in the city is going to fly. Getting picked up by strangers might not sound any wiser to the ears either.

On the other hand, Xena is pretty enthusiastic about the idea... so I'm not totally at a loss. It will just be very difficult to make work.

If I could go, I would; but, right now, it doesn't look like I can.




Come back at a more convenient date in about a year or so and I could easily make it. I'll be in college by then, and most likely roadworthy.

If Xena can make it, that would be awesome to see the both of you. Please talk her into it I would love to meet you both. And this opportunity might never come again. I can't fly around the world to meet clan members. Who knows when the next chance comes up.

The road to adventure from Columbus, OH to Washington destination DC goes east past the juncture where the road north goes to Pittsburgh or south toward Maryland and Washington, D.C. Joe has informed me that few know me because I am not on IRC much that they have no idea what I am like so I will endeavor to be on IRC more so you can possibly develop a sense of what I am like. Joe and I are traveling together to DC and will take passengers. I suggest you contact Joe for info on me so maybe you can get a better sense of what I am like if you can go and want a ride. I will be paying for the gas and I do not smoke or chew. Also, sorry if like Rap music, I hate rap music so I will not be playing any on the trip. Other than that all I can say is ROAD trip; Washington, D.C. or bust.

I'm like 30% for November one. Probably lower now that I really think about it. I'd be stealing a car to drive for 2 + hours to over a hundred miles away without my parent's permission. I'd also have to give a bullshit lie to all my friends. I'll think about it.

Worth it. Ask any IRL meeting attendee. Worth it.

Joe and MM are 100 percent. Flame in a word yes. The road trip is on and the tentative plan is to start Friday and get to DC for Friday night and Georgetown. Friday is tentative because of the possibility of weather. If its bad, it will take longer but we will get there. If you can arrange it, let me know . Unless, you have an unusually large vehicle you can stash it in my parking space until we return. Just let Joe or I know if and when you can make it. I am paying for all of the gas. Road Trip.

Most excellent. More than three people have signed up for DC--most excellent. Now, I hope more come but make every attempt to make it there. Everyone hope for good weather. I am looking into lodging so if you find a great deal please share. I will do the same. I suggest trying for lodging near a metro stop because driving and worse parking in DC is very expensive.

i'll have my travel agent look up lodging, pm me your budget and nights staying.

Sgt, we are tentatively thinking Friday and Saturday night in DC. I can get a special rate sometimes so let me know what you find. I was in DC three weeks ago and I think it was like 69/night plus 20 to park my car. I have to check to see what is available for the meeting time and I will post.

When I researched it, the going rate is like $200 per night unless you get a bargain. DC is expensive but it may be down since it will be late in the year and I know of no public events at the time other that the awesome IRL WG meeting.

0% I can go to San Fran now. Homecoming with my girlfriend is the night before, which I'll get home from at about 2-3 AM. I have to leave to drive (without my parent's knowing) to San Fran by about 7 to get there on time. No thanks. Sucks, but it won't happen.

Its summer in Australia and winter here. This week was unusually cold and next week--at least the first part should be warmer. Lets hope the week end is good so the drive for the Ohio and Indiana people will be pleasant. Hope you brought a coat Lordy.
