How to sign up for a raid/war...
By Randy on 03/11/2009
It seems this needs some clarification.
When a war or raid has signs ups, it will usually include the Yes, Maybe, or No options.
I think people are getting the wrong ideas which to pick because we do use these for activity purposes.
Yes
-Although you may not be 100% sure what you have at the time of the event, you are usually available at that time.
-Signing up as Yes and attending will automatically pass any kind of activity check.
-You may always change your status to a No if something comes up.
Maybe
-The events is usually at a bad time for you (too late, early, or you're busy).
-While signing up as a Maybe and not attending can be excused, doing this too many times will not be acceptable for activity checks.
-If you sign up as Maybe and learn you can attend, change to a Yes.
No
-You are 100% sure you cannot attend.
-Signing up as a No too many times will hurt you in activity checks.
-You may always change to a Maybe or Yes.
What I'm trying to get at here is the significant amount of people that sign up as a Maybe because the event "is too far away" or "I don't know what I'll be doing" should be taking a different approach.

I like how WG needs a topic to clarify what Yes, No and Maybe mean.

Actually after Gene threatened I went to maybes cause I didn't want kicked. You need to consider that into all the why they say maybe.
They used to make you say the day of the war which way you were going to go. You used to always have to choose yes or no on the final day. It was like not the hour before or anything stupid like that.
If I'm wrong or remember it different then it was, ohh well sorry.

Thank you for clarifying. I did not understand the system and now I know that a No is ok because there are events that are a definite No because at 2:00 est during the work week when a number of events in the past have occurred I am at work. I know without asking that playing RS during work is a problem even when I am the boss.
