Wilderness?

By Mustangred1 on 19/11/2009
Jon and I have basically the same views on everything and anything that has been going on in WG since we have both returned form emeritus.

He has addressed the council "issue". Now I will address the "raid" leader situation.

Fact is that we have less wilderness events than desire by the active members.
After every event war/or NON-PVP even I see more than a few people saying "lets raid".
With that said we need more events, people are getting bored we have to keep the actives active and make the non-actives want to be active.

Now I would like to propose.

1st New Raid leader (Trial first of course)
Maybe we need more minds to bring more and new wilderness events.
Of course this is my first proposal because..
1. I plan on running for the next Wilderness Leader position that becomes available.
2. Because we need a "fresh" mind in the field with new ideas and great potential.

2nd Current raid leader post more events.
I remember when I first received raid leader. We where forced to do 3 minis a week win or loss. This was around the time when people where maxing out and losing interest in the game. This seams to be what is happening now, It is getting more and more common to see someone with "Name|INSERTGAMEHERE" on the IRC. Sure it is fine to play multiple games but we have to keep them interested in Runescape, and WG or its possible that we will lose members to newer and "better" games. Anyways to continue my story WG survived off of mini wars such as 5v5, 10v10, 15v15, and capped short prep mini wars, for about 2 months we could only pull about 30 opts to a raid these minis kept us alive and pulled us out of a downfall. Moral of the story we need more events.

Thanks for your time king.gif

Yeah, I would like to see more mini's as well. However it's not always possible due to other clans being lil bitches.

Would be good, maybe some allied raids too.

Referring to being crashed? There are sooo many places to have small fights now especially if they have level caps and all are near the same level.

Yeah the NH clans, and trying to find empty worlds can sometime be a pain.

This can be done outside of the wilderness in BH worlds like I believe someone has said in Varrock sewers is Mulit, I have done no investigating for my self on this but I am sure we can find a few new places.

We need few weekday raids to fill some gaps. If raid leaders have time. Members can also host them with permission from a leader. Just make a recap and I will 100% update it.

Cody I'm sure you'll soon find that the current WG members aren't as into the spontaneous raids like before. Whether it's dedication or wealth, I'm not sure. Every time we make random raids we always get the same core 5-10 members who come while the rest pretend to be busy or afk. Personally I've been focusing in having "main events" on the weekend with sign ups to maximize our activity. While I will try to make more raids, I forsee some "ugh, again?" attitudes.

Also as Jon said, the wilderness just isn't the same. Your options are either pk shallow and get bored or go deep and either get destroyed or get crashed.

Raid get dull and boring. The same thing every Monday for 6 months gets old. When members host events the chance of getting a good attendance is basically cut in half.
I can defiantly tell a difference from when Gene hosts a raid than when some random hosts a raid.

I see your point, but I also see those "same 5-10 core members" turning into 10-15 and greater and greater as time goes by and as winning is not everything it still does a lot as you have seen in our recent war verses MoD , Morale was greatly boosted and I dont know if this is some thing only I have noticed but the members are becoming less anti-social.

I agree with basically everything Randy said in his point.
