Six Week Plan

By His Lordship on 22/11/2009
Ok I promised I'd do it, so here it is.
I don't have much time to go into extra detail, so fill in the gaps yourselves, but rest assured I spent a few hours thinking this up.
Don't worry it didn't come out of my holiday. I thought it over on the plane.

NOTES:
1. I will be checking on the deadlines every week or two weeks.
2. At the end of my holiday I will come and assess whether each council member has done their jobs
3. As the work is fairly minimal, you are expected to do it all. Not doing it means you put your position in danger
4. It is in Level 2 so that the elite guardians and tertiaries can push you into doing the work
5. You can assign the work to members, but I expect at least half of it to be done yourselves
6. The average amount of assigned work is about 2 hours a week. Virtually nothing. Therefore there is no excuse to not do this.
7. This can be negotiated but you need to give plenty of notice before asking for change. It can't be a last minute thing.
8. Council and tertiaries, feel free to do whatever you want on top of this. George and Kyle, whoever is in charge at the time, go nuts.

WEEK ONE

Darkzero101 - The weekend is here. Early this week (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday) prepare a p2p war for the next weekend. Pick a clan with a slightly smaller ML than us. We usually only win with the number advantage. PKRIs are good but an official war is better. If it is a PKRI make sure they have 10 members less than us or so. See Darth Magul's instructions for this week for the second half of your work.

Gorgemaster - You are still probably quite busy. Your job is to do the general council work, which includes the applications. You have the easiest job. In your spare time if you have it, help Darth Magul, who has the hardest job.

Darth Magul - You need to set up our recruitment team again. Don't make a forum rank. Get a team to go onto RSC, Tip.it, and other fansites. Have a quota for them to fulfil. Don't set rewards. Just allow them the satisfaction of contributing to WG. Make an important announcement recruiting for the recruitment team. Quikdrawjoe is to head the Tip.it team. Two people for Tip.it, 5 people for RSC, and 3 people for RS official forums. DZ, I need you to make another IA asking WG for pictures they like or statements about WG that draws them in. Just get material for a recruitment topic. Identify the important things that would draw people into WG. Doing this over a TS Meeting is a good idea.

Event Leaders - Make a sticky in Level 3, giving details about various recruitment events for RS. That sticky should give instructions on how to run that event successfully to ensure that we get maximum interest in the clan.

Raid Leaders - During American/GMT prime time one week day, speak to all the clan members and pin down a good time to set a weekly raid. I want to try having a weekly raid like the Aussie raid, but in a different time. Fix that time into the stickies and have it going EVERY week. Moose, I need you to change the Aussie raid time to 9pm EST Saturday for me. Change all the stickies. Lee, update the raid topic in general apart from the times that are getting changed, and make sure all the info is up to date.

WEEK 2:

Darkzero101 - We'll have a break from warring this week I think? Up to you but I don't recommend one after a massive p2p fight. Do bank checks of members to ensure they have the required fighting equipment. Also hold a tanking, binding, sniping, general warring training session. Call an ally to help out. I recommend rekindling an old alliance rather than ask the Sabres.

Gorgemaster - You should be free by now right? It's time to get WG's presence on Tip.it. Encourage every member to sign up. Don't force it I think. That's asking too much. Spend your week pushing members into it.

Darth Magul - You are pushing on with the recruitment team. Now that you have assembled your team, make the recruitment topic with them in a private chat. Go over it all, and make sure they PRIVATE MESSAGE the people looking for clans AS WELL AS posting on the recruitment topics. Set a quota of about 5 people per week, and any more is a bonus. The rule is, whoever posted on the recruitment topic sends the PM.

Raid Leaders - You need to start a topic in level 3, identifying all the possible candidates for our next war. It is up to DZ to decide who it will be, but you need to line up a good list for him.

Event Leaders - Go over the catalogue of events and make at least 3 events this week (with a mimum of 10 people attending) of old or forgotten events that haven't been done in a while or don't have screenshots. That catalogue has some outdated screenshots. I'm thinking Chaos Elemental trips and other random things like that. Chaos Ele trips with 1 iteming might be a good way to teach members how to return faster in p2p... not quite the same as returning practise but close.

-----------------------------------

WEEK 3

Darkzero101 - It's time for another fight. You'll have a list from the raid leaders. Set up that fight. P2P or F2P, it can be either. In addition, I want you to chase up the recruitment team on their various forums and see if they are all meeting their quota.

Gorgemaster - Go to the intros we've had over the last 4 months and make a topic in level 3 showing the various ways people have heard about WG. Tally it up, and discuss the results with the other leaders. Then re-organise the recruitment team to give attention to the areas that seem to be working for us.

Darth Magul - Time to get a bit heavy with the discipline here. Chase up tertiaries who have not been carrying their weight. Don't demote them unless they ask for it, but tell them they need to lift their game because their rank is not permanent.

Raid Leaders - If you are hosting 2 weekly raids (Aussie Raid, and Euro-American raid), that is decent. This week, experiment with a weekday raid. Just see how it goes and what sort of attendance we're looking at.

Event leaders - Same as last week. 3 events that we haven't done in a while. Good photo opportunity. Consider an allied event. Our alliances are stale. Also, I need one member around this time to remind WG that the anniversary is being delayed because I am overseas. It will happen in early January most likely.

-----------------------------

WEEK 4

Darkzero101 - Again it's a non-fighting week but I have a VERY important thing for you to do. We're going to set up an allied raid. If you can do this before this week, you get this week off. But I need you to go around to every ally, and agree on a time when they can ALL raid under one allied cape. Every single one. We might be able to pull 50 people to this raid as a minimum amoungst all our allies. It is going to be a monthly, or fortnightly thing. Probably make it, every first Time X of the month, we go out as allies. An ally that doesn't want to raid with us may be worth dropping.

Gorgemaster - Support Darkzero. Put 2 more diplomats on each forum. By volunteer of course. Even trials could do it. That way we can remind our allies of the upcoming raid and make topics each month. Your other job this week is to check up on the recruitment team and ensure they have met their quota. Be quite strict on this. We need to enforce it for a while before it becomes habit.

Darth Magul - Give full attention to Randy's plan for the Outpost. Help him publicise it and get it to take off. Also, by this stage, it would be time to re-update the announcements bar. Have a very thorough update. Change the "PM a WG official" menu to reflect the current leadership.

Event Leaders - Have ONE anniversary event. Not the clan quest or the veteran war. Just keep it as a stub... like a reminder of the anniversary. Also, compile all the November raid and event screenshots in a topic and show the topic to Gorgemaster who will compile them all for the clansite.

Raid Leaders - Two weekly raids as usual. I expect a Level 3 topic on the success of the weekday raid. If you are hosting your raids, that's really all I want. Make sure there are recaps so I can check to see whether its all been happening. If the other weekly raid you set up isn't working, time to get a new time, or to play it by ear every week. But I want to see good attendance of at least 20 people for that Euro-American raid.

-------------------------------

WEEK 5

This is the week of Christmas. You all get time off.
That's right, I'm accommodating for holiday time as well, so there really are NO excuses for not getting this done.

------------------------------

WEEK 6

Darkzero101 - Probably not a good idea to war around the Christmas New Year season. Just the token raids please. From you, I'd like a stat report on whether the recruitment team has picked up more intros and the efforts are working. Go to intro forums and check to see if there's an increase in intros. Also, go to the toplist topic on RSC and find a few top 10 lists and compile your own and post it in level 4. Give WG a rank (like say, perhaps 20) and give an opinion on when you think we can break the top 10 given our growth, if at all.

Gorgemaster - This is a big one. Go through every clan guide and trial guardian guide and update all the outdated information. For info missing on raids and other clan details, assign tertiaries to write guides.

Darth Magul - Do NOT consider this to be an inactive sweep. Identify the members who've not attended events and wars as they should and send them warning PMs. Advise them to lift their game and offer them ways (SMS Service for examples) to get going to events because they aren't getting involved enough. Be nice about it. We won't threaten with kicks at this stage. Just try to get them back in rather than booting.

Raid Leaders - Time for one more war training event with allies. Set this up and commit to it. And of course, your 2 raids, and hopefully a weekday raid if it's been successful. Don't expect stellar attendance to these raids though. It is the holiday season.

Event Leaders - At this time of year, slow down on the events but you may want to think of things that compliment the holiday spirit. Take it easy this week, and help the other leaders out with their jobs.

-----------------------

All discussion goes below.
I Promise to commit to WG when I get back and I will back up all your hard work with my own. I don't expect to just give orders and do nothing. Don't worry. I'll work hard so long as you have done all this.

If you want to deviate give plenty of warning. Also all your other plans go on top of this, they don't replace unless there is a major clash of interests. Feel free to be yourselves as well. This is only what my personal ambition is. Don't let me hinder yours.

Remember, I will be strict on these deadlines.

Ok, week one=recruitment events. Alright... Theres only one event leader this week by the way.

edit: Wait a sticky to make recruitment events? Make recruitment events? A guide on it?

By Kyle on 22/11/2009
Just started on it.

By Randy on 22/11/2009
Weekly raids........... I thought we decided against those...

By DZ on 22/11/2009
I acknowledge this topic.

(Normally I only read topics and don't post, so I'm doing this so people don't go "LOL DZ DOESN'T READ FORUMZ")

By His Lordship on 22/11/2009
Randy, this is a six week trial, and plus, some weeks we go by with zero raids, which is unacceptable.

By JC on 22/11/2009
Great to see this topic Gene, it is comforting to know that you're still giving guidance while on holiday (but don't let us eat into it too much tongue.gif ).

Have a good trip.

By George on 22/11/2009
I'm afraid Week One and Two are the busiest for me (yeah still busy in Week Two - that's the week of the play neko2.gif)
However all the work will get done even if it goes into the 3rd week so it's all good.

HAVE A GREAT HOLLLLL
Gene - we need to talk about the TS KAREOKE AWMG
