Firefox LAAAAGGG

After about one hour of scaping (or maybe other stuffs too idunno 
) I get like massive amounts of lag, not delay or connection lost, just like... really low FPS i thinks.
Closing and reopening firefox fixes this, but again after an hour or so this will happen.
Never had this problem before up until recently (a few days ago)
Any ideas how to fix it perm?

Try running disc cleanup, than post if that doesn't resolve the issue.

1. Scan for viruses (probally not this but can never be too safe)
2. reinstall it
3. disc clean up
4. delete your porn

One, have you upgraded firefox recently? If so, it might be a good idea to download an older version and install over the current version - your profile will be kept.
Two, check your memory usage; does it go up over time, stopping at some limit when this problem happens?
One possible fix might be to up the FF memory cache - go to "about:config" in the URL bar, type "browser.cache.memory.capacity" in the search bar, and, say, double the value thats there(Note, its in bytes, just so you know)

Ok for serious help:
Make sure you are using the newest Firefox. Older versions are no longer supported and may lag.
Make sure you have the newest Java. If you don't, Runescape will lag so much.
also, try running a disc clean up which should clear out any useless space and compact programs.

As much as I love Firefox...
It's all about RAM... What Robbie suggested is good, but that's not going to fix the problem in the long run... Get more RAM or don't use FF.
I tend to use Google Chrome, it handles RAM a lot easier.
But if you're totally in love with Firefox and don't have money to buy more RAM... I use this program called CleanMem - it basically clears unused or left over RAM. http://www.pcwintech.com/node/145
You can also set up Schedule tasks like I have so that every 5mins it runs and cleans your memory.

I had similar problems with firefox, i later decided to install google chrome.. Gotta say it's better than what i thought :-) Got no problems now..
