Back on members!
By Hasubunny on 06/12/2009
I'm back on members... and I'm so lost.
I need like a video of all the new things in Runescape but x16 speed.
Dragon plate body? Dragon full helm? God wars?
If anyone feels like helping me out could you add me in game... much appreciated
By Sxe Asher on 06/12/2009
Dragon platebody was released with a new "grandmaster" quest which connnects all the complicated quests together in a "lucien wants to take over runescape! stop him" quest. its made from buying 3 dragon chunks of metal and making a dplate (90 smithing and a special hammer required).
^ stick with barrows tbh
Dragon full helms are dropped from Mithril dragons (new dragon, located in the waterfall near barbarian outpost). they are very rare and very expensive.
^ stick with barrows helm for def, or nezzy for prayer/str.
Anything else you need help with? also, when was the last time you were a member?

whats ur bank worth? ie how much can u spend on weps/armour?
By Hasubunny on 07/12/2009
@Sxe Asher/Bambaleo - Thanks heaps!!1! ...Last thing I remember was hunter skill. I did a bit of that, and then vanished for a while.
@Quickdrawjoe - Thanks haha... considering I waste hundreds of dollars on other worthless things, RS Membership being $13 is nothing aye.
@Tricksy - Bank is pretty worthless... 2mil cash and all pking essentials. I start skilling, so I've got a bunch of random items that I'm not sure if I'm suppose to have or not. I'll need to check what barrows stuff I still have, definitely got guthans.
I'm really interested in the god wars stuff...
Thanks heaps of the help so far - really shedding some light. I think I might need to take it one skill at a time, since there's so much. Anyways it's beats mining and smithing on f2p any day!

What I suggest is get 99 Hunter. It can earn you around 40M now and its fairly quick. If you forgot how to train it, read a guide on Tip.It
You could also start looking in on GWD. If you have high combat levels, you could definitely try boss hunting. You could also try Aviansies which are bird-like creatures (so you have to kill with range/mage) that are very easy to kill and earn about ~400K an hour.
Also, check out a lot of the new quests. Theres so many you missed. I suggest doing AS MANY AS YOU CAN. quests now are basically required for a lot of training locations and items.
Also, Summoning is a new Skill. You can train it by collecting "charms" which you get from killing monsters. There are lots of second ingredients (like in Herblore) that can be used to make "pouches". These pouches are what actually create the monsters ingame. The monsters (called familiars) can do a range of activities; collect stuff, kill monsters and even hold up to 30 items.
Theres a shit more that came out since Hunter but I really can't be assed to explain every update. Just read through all the Runescape updates until you get a good idea of whats new.

Thanks mate,
Yeah I remember doing summoning because I wanted lvl 130 really bad haha... I forgot how to do it yesterday... I went to the obleski thingy and forgot to take charms.
I never thought I'd hear anyone say leveling a 99 skill is easy. But I'll try leveling my hunter a bit more... I'll need to read up on tip.it
I read about God Wars during my lunch break today (shows how addicted I am)... really interesting, I'll need to start bugging friends again to take me on a trip. I have 95 mage / 90 range / 90 prayer and maxed atk/str/def/hp... is that good enough (more so my range/mage)?
I'll definitely do quests, always loved doing them regardless of how bizarre they are at times haha.
Considering I doubt I'll be playing as much as I did in the past, I'll try my best. Thanks for all the advise

Thats perfect for Godwars. It also depends on what boss you want to kill (Saradomin, Zamorak, Armadyl, or Bandos). Each one is a little different, drops different things, and is best killed with different strategies.
If you're that interested in God Wars, you might want to consider getting up your summoning too. Some good things are:
Spirit Terrorbird - 52
War Tortoise - 67
Pack Yak - 99
Bunyip - 68
Fruit Bat - 69
Titans - ?
Unicorn - 92?
Those levels are just what I remember, but haven't played in a while, so you might want to check. Those familiars either help you hold more inventory space or heal you. Very useful at God Wars, along with in normal training.

just do some slayer/kill water fiends to get 88 smn and you're good to go for Tormented Demons, awesome cash

God Wars is also a nice way to make money, it's pretty hard to find a good team for doing that though.

99 Hunter is relatively easy. After 80 Hunter when you start Red Chinchompas (80 hunter is suggested b/c you can use 5 traps instead of 4) you get like 100k exp/h at level 80.
I remember reading somewhere that you can get around 200k exp/h at 99 but I might be mistaken. Also, it only takes 2 or so weeks from 80 if you play a couple hours a day.

Thanks guys, yeah last night I was on for a little bit... I organised my bank a little more and farmed two herb patches! Wooo! (that was after 30mins of running around ardy & catherby trying to find the bloody places again) I also spent a bit of time looking at the quests... might try do one a day while farming for marigolds (I need them for my next summoning level).
Thanks for the tips Sxe Asher, I'll try give Hunter another crack, I'm really low level like 18 or something.
Lol @ Jen - yeah maybe if you help me I might

What I suggest doing right now is doing farming runs and quests.
It may get boring, but stick to it. You can probably do 1-2 quests between each farming run.
Depending on your farming level, you can make 200k/h (50 farming required). You can make a heck of a lot more with higher farming.
Do as many quests as you can. So many are interlocked nowadays that you'll have to do most to do a few key ones.
Once you have most of them down and are caught up on RS history and recent updates, you can train summoning and slayer. most of the time they go hand in hand but if you're like me and hate slayer, you can stick to specific monsters to loads of charms.
You don't have to follow this, but I suggest it if you want to be caught up on stuff.

I haven't read much into farming... I seen that there's easier ways to get around to farm patches. Like teleporting and broomsticks? Any tips on making farming life a lot easier and what quests to do....
Got 1900+ total last night woo! Hunting is indeed boring, but at least I don't need to concentrate too much while doing work around the house
