What's next.

Alright, we have ~45 members and about ~30 that are active and about ~15 that still give a damn. Forget the Skill Olympics and forget a trainer system, there are bigger things to worry about (we need members to do those anyways). Recruitment MUST be our focus. It must. Our recruitment to leaving ratio right now is like 1:5. This is serious folks.
I know I suggested some real life interview video a few weeks back with slight approval, and with second thought I don't think that would do it (would certainly help though). We can't just make a poster with a few pictures on it and say hey join. Look at RSC and notice the clans that do that are never successful at it - too much competition. We need something that stands out, haha, this is WG after all.
Runescape has changed since WG was a top clan. The clan community is immature, honor pking is dead, and people go straight to power houses. This is bad news for a clan that's mature, honorable, and not a power house. However, we can definitely try and use this to our advantage. Let me explain.
Even though there's been an influx of (in RS slang) "09 pkers," the clan community still has the people we want... or need. We have to reach out to certain individuals. WG gets massive amount of fail trials because they don't really give a shit. And like I said, there are a certain type of people we want. How do we get "these people"?
WE START A REVOLUTION YEAHHHHHH
But seriously. I truly believe if we start a business-like approach towards honor pking we can get some recruits. Accompanied by a video or something, I don't know, but we have to be dead serious. Just a thought.

I hate to say it, as I have always been against it, but PKing gets people places. We need to recruit and show our success to others.
We are living too much in the success that we previously had. We have to find something new that we are good at. We need active staff that are willing to bust their asses to get shit done.
I personally am going to try to start getting my homework done in a timely manner, opening up opportunities to help WG more. Still, I cannot attend many events due to work and other IRL activities. However, I can try my damnedest to do something.
Having lots of low level members won't make us necessarily successful. We need quality members that are dedicated. We have core members that will be with WG until the end. We just need to start gaining more core members that know what WG can be like.

Or give up on RSC because it's outdated, immature, and the complete wrong market.

What would make someone want to join us right now anyway?

Really. We have such a big rep, who DOESN'T know us?
"Hurr nothing left, angry asian, smoking tea and real life meetings."
Our reputation is what's hurting us, I'm sure..

And the fact that we're called Wilderness Guardians but we don't raid or war.

Maybe it's the negative talk that goes on all the time. How can a stranger know we are great when all they hear is crap from other people and then they hear it from our members too.
A reputation is something we can change easy enough to be positive. Start with yourselves and try it for a while and when you want to type crap. Smile as big as you can and then type something nicer and more positive.
