Elections

I am already being asked if they will be done fairly by members. I won't go into some of the things said to me. I was thinking to show that we are fair in our elections to have them send their votes to all of council. This will give them an assurance that we are fair.

It is easy enough to do:



I would not fix an election. But if this would make members feel more sure we are fair then I think let's do it.

If you don't mind Rach/Gene, since this will be my final act as council (making sure that my replacement is here and ready to go), then I will conduct the voting.

But that is absolutely fine with me, if it will make people think it's fairer.

We've always done a preferrential voting system, which is why we get people to order their votes and not just PM the one person that they want.

I'm waiting to hear back from the 4 that are running for council, but I will be hosting a "Read your application to us" event on ts. Then people that can't be bothered can just listen to them.

So far I have one response of yes.

Darn I was thinking I had through Saturday. Next election maybe we can add that in as part of it lol.
