In Search of a Clan Motto

We haven't had a motto in a long time.
We have funny ones, but nothing that demonstrates pride.

These things are not mottos.
Please tell me what our motto should be.

My vote is for the historic one - Shield of the innocent... only because we've had it since 2003.

As much as I like shield of the innocent, I think due to the wilderness situation it just doesn't apply much anymore :/

I can't think of anything thats not lame atm, but I think a new one would be cool since the clan is going in a new direction.

I don't have to reveal all my plans and logic to you.

But just this once, for your skeptical mind, I shall divulge.
I am planning a campaign that I will shortly be running by my council.
It will involve a war that exceeds the build-up of the Great War, and it will involve a massive morale raising campaign in which this slogan will be spammed every time the clan meets in-game to rekindle passion and motivation, leading up to that war when the motto will be part of my pre-war speech.\

It is also an advertising tactic. We release this slogan into Runescape and it becomes a catch phrase... just like how EVERY major company has a slogan. People will hear it and associate it with us. Familiarity with a clan is crucial to recruitment.

Have I justified myself adequately to you, sir, or do I need to lay down even more of my thoughts?

"Guardians live forever." <- A little simple, but does sound pretty good to me.

"Peacekeepers, adventure seekers -- Guardians shall live on." <- Could be too long to spam in-game?

"You can push us, you can shove us; but we will always rise again, grow strong, and play on." <- Displays pride and displays our unity and ability as a clan.

"Guadians to the last breath, and further..." <- Sounds a little corny to me, but I still like the sound of that.

"Guardians to the very end" <- Condensed version of the previous one.

"Peacekeepers" <- Could be a simple spam during raids or wars.

"We run this!" <- Maybe a little too cocky, lol.

i liked the original, even if it has kinda lost its meaning it still resembles a very important base on which we were founded upon (arpking), and it sounds kwl

I'm biased to a particular style.
I call it fantasy English.
Something I would expect from a knight.

Sayings like "Never walk alone" would sound a million times better to me when converted into the more chivalrous medieval tongue. (And I realise this is just my taste)

"Hail, brothers!" <- Was inspired by the famous greeting, "-Crosses Sabres-", used by The Sabres.

"Hail, brethren!" <- Variation of the above.

"Hail, Guardians!" <- Simple, but seems effective as a greeting or spam.

"Hail, the mighty Guardians that stand before you." <- Longer version of the above.

"Brothers in arms, we shall never falter, nor shall we perish." <- I think this is nice, shows fellowship at the sword and unwillingness to be brought down.

"Spears shall be shaken, shields shall be splintered!" <- Direct quote from the movie "The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King".

THey need to be short and snappy, not like a whole sentence, otherwise we can't really spam them during a war lolz.

Then, I like the shortest ones I came up with. They could be greetings in homage to The Sabres. They could be used before and after raids/wars.

and Multi's "So Others May Live" or possible re-phasing it since I keep doing that in my head to "That Others May Live"
(isn't that an actual military motto? I feel like I've heard it before...which is why I like it, its memorable and familiar)

Both are short and easily spammable and both speak to WGs anti rpking stance.

I used to like "Guardians unite". Simple, but unity is all you need. It's more of a war cry than a motto, though.

But it just kicked ass, walking up in the wild, the leader calls out

"Guardians unite",

and the tower goes up,

"Unite!
