Skilling: TRIALS

We now have until Sunday 4th July, 11.59pm BST to decide who will represent us in the Mining Skill.

Myself and the rest of the staff will be making the decision, although your suggestions are highly encouraged and appreciated.

We will be making the decisions based on the following:
1. Level in the skill.
2. General activity.
3. Attitude
4. Results of the Trial.

The skilling week will begin 00:01 BST Monday 5th July and run until 23:59 Sunday 11th July.

As previously mentioned, we are going to have Mining Trials to make sure we have a really good team.

The Mining Trials:

Anyone that can see this forum can trial for the team.

You do NOT need to sign up, just start skilling:

How to participate in the trials:

1. Mine hardcore for 1-2 hours. The object is to get the highest exp gain PER HOUR as possible. The more hours you do for the trial the more accurate your results will be. Refer to Jayson's Guide for how to get the best exps.
2. I suggest using familiars, but do NOT use any of the disallowed items (brawlers, sc items etc) - Click here and go down for the full list.
3. BEFORE you start your hour, you must note down the time of day AND YOUR STARTING EXP.
4. After the hour is up, note your finishing time AND FINISHING EXP.
5. Calculate your exp gain in that hour.
6. Post all that on this topic!

This whole system relies on TRUST. I cannot check that you haven't used brawlers/sc items/any disallowed items. I have no way of knowing, but Jagex will. So, please please be truthful. If you do use the illegal items then we have no way of knowing how well you can truly do and therefore we may put you in the team even if you're not the best person for the job.

The trials will END on Saturday 3rd July at 9pm GMT.

If you cannot trial - do not worry. The trials will only help to confirm the people that we already have in mind, but even if you don't trial, it does not mean that you are out of the competition.

George, is it a problem since i'd like to join but won't have time for the pre-events like you described in the other topic? I got my full weekend booked at a festival...

I can participate in the actual cup, but this is a holiday weekend in America and I have plans because of that, so the trials aren't gonna be easy for me to participate in

Days are tight. I may not be able to trial in the time period because unlike last year my wood cutting and fishing were in the 80s and I am convince that 99 is the way to go. Unfortunately, neither of those skills is this year but mining is. The week end is tight but I am working on mining and I want to push it as far as I can go as opposed to doing a trial. I am now 93 and going for it.

That's fine you guys. Trial if you can, if you can't then don't worry.

I thought I saw someone say something about varrock armour being disallowed last minute by jagex yesterday...is that true. I was kinda loopy all day
