The Jagex Clan Cups are run every year, round about this time, and gives every Runescape clan the opportunity to participate in one of Runescape's greatest events.

The Skilling Cup tests players in a number of different skills, where 10 players from each clan must try to gain the highest amount of exp in the chosen skill as possible per hour.

    # At least 8 of the 10 registered skillers from your clan must have at least 5 full hours of skilling sessions that adhere to our rules. If there are only 7 or less, you clan will be disqualified from the skill. For more information on sessions and full hours, check our Glossary.
    # The majority of the XP gained in each session must be of the drawn skill or it will be discounted.
    # You must not use any XP enhancing equipment such as Brawling gloves, activity rewards like Stealing Creation tools or others. For a full list, check our Glossary
    # Gaining experience from quest rewards or Distraction and Diversions will discount that entire session.
    # Rubbing an XP lamp will discount the session, it is advised that you pick another random reward or drop the box.
    # Consumables and Summoning familiars are allowed.
The List of Disallowed Equipment (All Skills):
Varrock Armour
Morphic tools from Stealing Creations
Volitile tools from Stealing Creations

We now have until 23:59 Saturday 31st July BST to decide who will represent us in Fishing for the Skill Cup Week.

Myself and the rest of the staff will be making the decision, although your suggestions are highly encouraged and appreciated.

We will be making the decisions based on the following:
1. Level in the skill.
2. General activity.
3. Attitude
4. Results of the Trial.

Sign ups for the 10 skillers for Fishing ends 23:59 Saturday 31st July. The skilling week will begin 00:01 BST Sunday 1st August and run until 23:59 Saturday 7th August. .

Full details of the team and indeed, a guide, will be posted very shortly in this forum.

Let's do this guardians!

This, this is why we are doing all the trials and stuff guys.
I really, cannot press the fact more that you must only participate in this if you KNOW that you have the time and are willing to put in the effort.

Agreeing to take part in this when you know that you can't put your full effort into it could cost WG the competition, so if selected, feel free to decline if you need to.
I am however, more than happy to let anyone participate who will put in the required hours and i will support anyone who does try hard in this, helping you to drop stuff, bank stuff, whatever.

Did you do one for mining sir?
Do you remember what the topic title was? If not, i'll try and find it.
Maybe you could help too? Look back in your "user posted topics" bit (go into your profile) and see what you can find for April 2009 (last skill cup). x

No life faster

By Elyxiatic on 01/07/2010
If you're doing concentrated gold mines.
Head to the mines straight after you get a random event.
This lessens the chance you'll waste time on a random event, within your 1 hr skilling period.

Are you positive monkfish is the best xp per hour?
Would be a huge waste of time if it wasn't.

Never said that...

I'm sure that Shilo fishing would be the fastest XP.

6th place is epic considering we're not a skilling clan.
Good job everyone!

By DZ on 20/08/2010
Holy shit I did not think we would place that high. That's awesome good work everyone.

EDIT: Oh I see we got 0 for the buddy skills... my suffering wasn't even good for anything sad.gif

By George on 20/08/2010
That is a really really good effort, very pleasing indeed.
Thanks to everyone who participated as well as all the staff and members who helped with the running of it.
6th is really good considering some of those competitors.
