The Alliance Strengthens

By His_Lordship on 02/07/2010
Our alliance with the Sabres has now reached a higher level.
We're getting very close to the state of our alliance with Fear.

There have always been weekly unofficial raids with the Sabres.
We now LOCK IT IN as an official raid.
Now the two clans will make a habit of it.

It replaces the USA/UK raid.
Read about it here:
http://www.wildernessguardians.com/forum/i...showtopic=17409

As you know, our raids are usually very successful, so I am hoping we can consistently pull 20+ people to the raid, as the Sabres are also aiming for that amount. I hope you guys understand what a big deal this is.

What we need to aim for is getting into a habit. THe Aussies have a very established habit of attending the Aussie raid. It's 5pm my time on Sunday and I know to keep that free. For you guys, check the raid time and keep it free. It's harder for a Saturday, with people wanting to see friends and stuff, but do your best to make it habit. Just KNOW that the raid is always at that time. Once the habit is formed, WG will get much stronger. That's the point of fixed raid times. When you think about your agenda that day, the raid should be on it.

I'll try my best to make sure that happens.

I'll very rarely be able to make it.

- 9 PM GMT on Saturday is pub time.
- If my band IRL does a gig, 90% of the time it will be at 9:30 PM on a Saturday.

If we don't have a gig I might stay in on the rare occasion and be able to attend it. But we host gigs almost weekly now, and I cannot prioritise anything over that.

Saturday nights used to be the perfect night for me. When I was about 13, and had nothing better to do on a Saturday night than stay in and play RuneScape. But some of us grow out of that habit, and when we experience stuff like the great British Pub and so, we want to make it a night out. I have been going out on Saturday nights for almost 2 years now, and I cannot tell my IRL friends I'm not going drinking and socialising and watching live music and all that flowery bullshit to stay in and play RuneScape. Hell, I wouldn't want to either. Even Friday is a better day to host an event.

The condolence is I will always attend the Aussie raid. I'm just sorry that I'll almost never be able to attend a SG.

sounds good

By Zemus3654 on 02/07/2010
erm actually yeah.. I probably wont be able to attend any of these... if this was like 2 hours forward then i'd probably be able to make it every week.
Edit: or ~4 hours back. ^

If the time is set in stone then fair enough, i wont be attend any though hashdown.gif.png

It will still be F2P/P2P alternating, correct?

By Sativas on 02/07/2010
Should of made it Sundays. Wasn't that voted the best day for a war?
If it's the best day for a war, it's prob the best day for a raid.

By Hollow_Fyre on 02/07/2010
Its at such a bad time for me...I'm usually doing dinner at this time, but I love that our alliance has gotten stronger. Very cool stuff

Yes, it was. Hell, even Friday would be better. Just look at the responses so far. Four people, including yourself have said it's a bad day/time. Right now that's double the amount of people who have expressed it's a good time. I certainly hope this topic doesn't reflect the turnouts of the raids themselves.

Make that five.

By Masamune39 on 02/07/2010
Awesome. I'm sure I can make it every Saturday if I set the times. Since this will be an official allied raid, I'm sure we'll be pulling upwards of 100 opts every time.

By His_Lordship on 03/07/2010
We discussed the option of Sundays.
That day is our warring day and things get messy.

By Masamune39 on 03/07/2010
I don't understand... aren't these the same times as before? On a Saturday it would be 3 p.m. central time, which is the same as it was before for me. I don't see much of a difference between what it was last week compared to what it will be now.

By His_Lordship on 03/07/2010
Well, I did explain that the Allied raid replaces the USA/UK raid...

By Masamune39 on 03/07/2010
Exactly, so I don't understand why so many people are complaining that the times aren't good. These are the exact times as before. Did anyone have a problem with the times before?

By VEPHYSAURAS on 03/07/2010
It doesn't replace the raid really it should strengthen it lol. Honestly if we pull strong+sabres we can dominate.

What about Fridays? That's still prime PKing time and it's a lot easier to attend.

By Nick on 03/07/2010
What I can attend is determined by what they have me doing at work. Saying that Saturdays and Sundays are usually extremely busy, and that is a busy time, I am usually always working those times on those days.
