Elite Emertius

Just an idea while looking through security forums, how about a new rank (JUST ONE I PROMISE) that allows some of the more epic of past members, perhaps those who achieved elite, moderator, or council status in the past, to continue to use the forums which they previously had access to? An Elite Emertius rank could do just that, and TMART AGREES WITH ME. dface-ani.gif

Some of our past members have been extremely influential to our clans success, and I feel that sometimes they should have the right to continue to do so even after they leave the game for whatever reasons. Now if it's for security reasons or whatever I understand, but hey it was nice having a say in what those elite n00bs thought was good for the clan. neko2.gif

Bring back Honoured rank?

By Tmal34 on 17/04/2008
Elite Emeritus would be sweet lol.
Make there be some requirements and if you meet them you automatically get it.
Examples perhaps:
In WG for more than a year
Ex Moderator+

Twould be fun#

I'm tending to lean more against it. Emeritus is a privilidge as it is. It doesn't make much sense to have a ranking system for the inactive sector.

Agreed, emeritus itself is an elite rank...I think in some ways having an elite emeritus rank would de-value the normal emeritus rank. We know well who the WG legends are, there is not much need for a rank.

In a related note...why is Tuna's rank only higher guardian? confused.gif

Because you are clearly better than him Karl.

By Back to Own on 17/04/2008
Even with that rank, some people wont understand the significance of that one persons actions

We should have like a little history thread on the hall of fame, explaining what they did and stuff along with that

By Mickey on 17/04/2008
Wouldn't that be a bit like '[C]Elite Guardian'?

Aye,
Emeritus is already an Honorable Rank as is (Not talking about the old rank of Honored Member)

Emeritus has access to a bit more information then Guardians, and are in fact...For the most part in-active.

By Kiwi011 on 17/04/2008
elite emeritus? Who would it go to? All the poeple who it really would go to would be like buffyrose, anth, myst, rai, wreck, dragon_pro, and they are the recent people that dissapearred, its to much of a hassle.

Don't forget that tuna smells trout.gif

But srysly I think this would be a pretty good idea for some of our more loyal members who simply don't play anymore. Personally I would love to be a bit more involved with the clan's ideas and such, but RUNESCAPE FAILS so I don't wanna play anymore hash.png

Yawn Elite Emertius would be strange i just say give Emertius everything elite guardians can see and its fine as is. Its not like Their opinions are important anymore. They are the elders of the clan and should carry more wisdom about the clan and how it functions.

but thats jst my just opinion on that.

By Jrm 04 on 18/04/2008
Yaya gimme Elite because I'm rank hungry hash.png

By Spicy63 on 18/04/2008
I still don't think this should be put into effect.
Emeritus as is is already a privelage.

Asking for more is just to much not to mention another Rank, there's a lot as it is for the moment.

Giving Emeritus Elite/Senior Member Privleges would be possible but not needed.

By Sir Wolfoo on 18/04/2008
I been emeritus for more than a year hash.png
Higher now hash.png should be elite..no...primary leader hash.png

By Firelion08 on 18/04/2008
We're lucky we're even allowed to remain here despite the fact that we don't play RS anymore. I wouldn't ask for anything more than to still be a member of the community.

Besides, what's the point? Title value? lol

By General199 on 18/04/2008
I think how it is now is fine. I may not have been around here long but giving someone who doesn't play rs anymore or not as much more rights then Guardians who are full fledged to WG shouldn't happen.

-- My views on that. Nothing more.

By Sonixpber on 18/04/2008
At first I thought it was a good idea, but after reading some responses I think it would de-value the current Emeritus rank greatly. Yes, it is true that we Emeritus are priveleged to keep this rank. I post here maybe once or twice a month, but I'm grateful I'm still allowed to keep my ranking tongue.gif.

A waste of time, you really just want a rank. If you want to get promoted be an active member and not make excuses for a rank. You do have emeritus for a reason.

So what if I'm completely power hungry? GIMMAH TEH RANKZ veryevilgrin.gif

hash.png k, btw I probly should've added before that this wouldn't just be a rank for anyone to get in, but only the most well thought of and influential members of the past who would need to be pretty much voted in by the majority of the clan. Something only the most prestigious could even hope to attain dface-ani.gif but oh well xD

By Tmal34 on 22/04/2008
You spelled Emeritus wrong in the title by the way.

By Valdremia on 22/04/2008
There's no need for this rank IMO. An Emeritus is an emeritus. You're retired and that's it. Being remembered for what you've done and achieved before is something of a remembrance, memories shared with those who shared the times. It doesn't need reassurance to reaffirm a sense of status for the sake of it as a declaration. What matters is what you do as you do always regardless. And if its a sense of respect asked, a rank don't necessarily means it will be given so.

But if it makes one feels necessary to voice sounder, perhaps consider what's that purpose afterall?

O really ? tongue.gif

Anyway i think there should not be Elite emeritus, if you want more privileges become an active guardian. There is a lot of ranks, we dont need more, it will bring only more chaos.
