Well sorry I have been gone away for so long been training for soccer ALOT. Out of that training I got 7 goals and 3 assists in 10 games, winning me Most Goals, Most Points, MVP,Best Goal, and Best sticker for my team. The biggest achievement was being pushed up to Varsity right before state playoffs. Varsity freshman year = SEXY YES YES! Hopefully all this work pays off one day

. Take care you guys. I have much to do before the first game on Tuesday.

I agree, cause America puts most of its focus on sports that take real men to play.
By Gibble00 on 20/04/2008
Hey Ali, broke my toe a week and a half ago in a game, dunno if I told you or not.
Haven't played since then, dunno when I'll be back. Supposed to take four weeks off but I don't plan on it.
Gratz on all the goals and stuff, sounds like you've been doing well

exactly

real men play american footbal, ice hockey and rugbyand in their free time they do any kind of contact sport

oh and ali i actually used to be a big fan of soccer but it became something more like a fashion show on a soccer field lol....so no thanks. The biggest starts who could actually play start retiering and the day when they all are gone is soccer completely dead for meh.
about that foot, wanna see some ballet videos? cuz sometimes they even have worse enjuries.

Dawg, rugby players tackle like pansies, trust me. They do a lot of what we call catching and arm tackling. You ever play street football before? Yeah, now that's 10 times the game rugby is. Football allows us to hit each other with no restraint. Rugby people tend to avoid direct impact. Ergo, you don't face as much of a danger of getting hurt and you see a lot more people getting "run over" in rugby. Besides, we have rugby over here too. People just find football the better sport, both physically and mentally. How many times in rugby have you seen players break their necks or end up with severe brain damage? No, all rugby players get are superficial wounds. A broken nose is nothing compared to what football players go through. Trust me, a helmet to the hand is worse than someone else's face hitting you there. Also, there seems to be a misconception that football players are completely shielded by their pads, that is far from being the case. If you ever played football, you would know that there are unprotected areas such as anywhere beneath the ribs and the side of your body. Leg pads and the such are nothing more than a formality, they don't do much to protect against a 250 pound line backer diving towards you at full speed. Or a 300 pound line man for that matter.

Wow very nice! Best of luck.. You'll be great!
By Renoldojr10 on 22/04/2008
Thanks everyone. Ouch Gibble hope you will have a speedy recovery and be back on the pitch soon. I can see your point Bamb but in all honest soccer is a lot more physical than you think at a Varsity 4A level.

But my point is you aren't getting smashed by 300 pound guys who are as strong as an ox. Or being blown up by someone coming at full speed right in the stomach or side.

Thanks, it's driving me nuts. It's been almost three weeks and it's still swollen... I can't bend it down all the way yet either. I thought I'd be back sooner than the doc wanted me too, but now I'm not so sure.
I don't have a cast or anything, and managed through prom, although with some pain.
It doesn't really hurt just walking around, it wasn't that bad to begin with (I sucked it up), but I just don't want to kill it completely.
By Me9alomaniac on 22/04/2008
Exactly. It takes a REAL man to do something with brawns,
brains AND
SKILL. Not just a big dude and go ramming stuff just like a bull in a china shop if that's what you're implying haha

Save the trouble of explaining how tactical American football can be and how much skill is involved. All contact team sports are fun

Sure, it may seem macho to be known playing with the big boys, I won't disagree with that but lay it off and appreciate what real sport is about. Hence why that game is only played in America. Is it a competing sport in Olympics? Hah. No.
By Kwaichi on 22/04/2008
Nice Ali, good luck in next match

BTW Me9alomaniac & Bambaleo
Rugby < Soccer
- correction: Rugby <<< Football
By Me9alomaniac on 22/04/2008
Kwaichi, ure talking about soccer/football as in Man Utd right?

If so, we're in the same boat. Soccer is over everything else in my eyes.
