[Finished]_Jagex International Wars

By Jayson on 29/07/2010
Ok, so Jagex just made a pvp international war, which will make the RSB vs RSC fights look like piss weak. this will be 1.9k + people, all in f2p, fighting it out.

Which means:

1. Free advertisement
2. Good practice for f2p warring/tanking
3. Other stuffs I can't be stuffed mentioning since its 2am

Hello everyone and welcome to the International PvP War Thread.

If you are ready to embrace one of the biggest challenges yet taken in RuneScape, then keep reading.

Be warned: This war takes place on a PVP World, which means that, if you die, you risk losing your items, weapons and armour.

HOW IT WILL WORK

The whole war will include 6 different battles; 3 on Saturday and 3 on Sunday.

There will be 4 different teams that will consist of 2 language communities per team. Each team will wear a different colour cape.

-
Team 1: English + German (team cape 11) -
- Team 2: Dutch + French (team cape 21) -
- Team 3: Portuguese + Nordic (team cape 31) -
- Team 4: Spanish + Polish (team cape 41)
-

Note: All these capes can be bought by the NPC cape merchant "William" or alternatively in the GE.

Screenshots will be taken during the battle, and the predominance color on each screenshot will earn points. The winers will be the team with most points after the 6 battles.

TIMES

All times are in BST (British Summer Time)

Saturday 31st of July at:
- 00:00-01:00 AM
- 11:00-12:00 AM
- 18:00-19:00 PM

Sunday 1st of August at:
- 00:00-01:00 AM
- 11:00-12:00 AM
- 18:00-19:00 PM

LOCATION

- All battles will take place in the centre of Barbarian Village.

WORLD

- All battles will take place in the PvP World 21.

FINAL TIPS

* Bring lots of food with you.
* Avoid bringing items you would hate to lose.
* Bank everything you don't need.
* Have back up armour and equipment saved in your bank.
* Wear your team cape!
* Keep an eye on your prayer.
* Make sure you have enough ammunition and runes to last you.
* Get advice from your team!

Good luck to all warriors and we hope you enjoy the carnage war!

So basically you need cape 11, the seller, William

QUOTE
William can usually be found just east of the Lava Maze in the deep Wilderness. He wanders around a lot, so be sure to check for him around the Red Dragon Isle and around the area where the Moss Giants are. He sells capes that have a box in the center with a checkered pattern at the bottom.

The 3 times are as followed for timezones:

EST:

Friday - 7-8PM
Saturday - 6-7AM, 1-2PM, 7-8PM
Sunday - 6-7AM, 1-2PM

BST: (As Listed)

AEST:

Saturday - 9-10AM, 8-9PM
Sunday - 3-4AM, 9-10AM, 8-9PM
Monday - 3-4AM

Lets try and attend all of them, but the First, Third, Fourth and Sixth will be the biggest and most clan active.

We shouldnt have to worry about main clans since most half decent clans will be fighting for the English speaking people, and as long as you wear your cape, you cant be attacked, so make sure you have one.

I have my doubts on those. WG will pull at best 30ish people, and expect to compete with the top clans there? And practice? Not with that many people - for one, you wouldn't be able to move with the amount of lag to begin with, and Jagex-hosted events - seriously, who actually knows how to pile or tank if they're not in a clan?

I'd avoid it personally.

Dunno... could be free loot. We should try to attend at least one to see if we like it.
