I will be forum active, but I cannot log into Runescape. I can give a max of 30 minutes every two days. I am here to make the most important decisions, but really, you can't consider me to be actively leading. Until February 21st, Dorcha3377 (Jenny) will be leading. I am leaving my notes here, so that you have a forward direction. Pretend I am not leading at all, while I travel around Europe. -------------- All Council: 1. Finish the forum switch. Make the stickies and keep them updated. Add new links to the top and make sure Robbie finishes off the top menu. Make sure you keep these forums running in case the other forums crash. They did once and we need to make sure it doesn't happen again. If it does, Robbie knows how to let our forums handle more visits. send the members across by validating them over Runescape, not z6, not IRC. 2. Take care of recruitment. Recently we've lost a fair few members and we need to keep the clan stable. We must make recruitment our priority. Don't neglect the members already in WG, but look toward recruitment for our future. 3. Collect new phone numbers and give the SMS service a polish. There are websites where you can send them for free: http://www.sendsmsnow.com/ http://www.worldxs.net/sms.html http://send-free-sms.netfirms.com/ Those are a few. Here is our current one: http://thesmszone.com/ We can't use it because it won't let us add credit to it. If you can find another site that allows us to make an address book, and send SMS for 10c or less, sign the council up and I will pay for it after my trip. Just get the SMS system working again. ---------- Dorcha3377 Jenny you are in charge until the 21st. You have the final say on all things so I require your activity. Please get the following jobs done. 1. Finish the anniversary. Do three more anniversary days as planned, and skip the clan quest day. I will hold the clan quest when I return. You need to be present at all those events days. Don't make anniversary forums in the new forums. Just make IAs. 2. Rekindle the alliances. Our alliances are dying. Speak to every leader and work out ways to give the alliances more spark... I suggest more joint events, more reps from each clan on each other's forums... meaning assign some tertiary leaders, one from each sector, to be reps for all our allies 3. Propose an alliance with Triforce. I spoke to their leader and they seem like a great clan. See if we can handle 4 allies as well. Use your own judgment. 4. Collect pictures for the clan website. I need every month up to January. I need at least 30 pictures a month, showing at least two events from each sector. Leave pics with tiny attendance. 5. Get Ali in shape. He's disappeared. If he reappears, keep him active and put him in charge of the sector. If he's not back by half way through January, he has to go into community. Skillers are suffering. Hold new elections if this happens. Hold nominations and get people to apply. Skills members only should vote. And they should vote by PMing you. Count the votes in private. 6. Lead recruitment. Post every day on RSC, RS boards, hold recruitment events on RS. Update our recruitment topics as well. I won't be able to update the clansite for a long time. ------ Snowzak 1. Appoint new raid leaders. Personally I would select them myself rather than allow applications. Make sure they are capable leaders and people you won't see as biased against skills. 2. Redesign the application system. We talked about an event validation stage, and more active SMS validation. Take care of the new process, and find a way to keep the intros hanging around. As a general rule an intro should have attended one event in their sector and one in community before being able to join... but only in phase 2. Phase 1's should not be invited to attend private events. 3. Spend two quality hours with the new raid leaders plus the old ones. Take them into the new wilderness and show them EVERYTHING. hugging spots and patterns, how to assert authority, what to do in certain situations such as we find a war. 4. Take charge of general activity. Enforce the activity requirements. We are recovering from the deadly wilderness update so now it's time to boot our inactives from the sectors. All community members have to have access to their RS account or else get ex-member or train a new account. They have to be able to support WG when we need it... such as a community war or anniversary or something big. If they can't do anything but chat on the forums, it's not much help and we run the risk of getting too many spies. ----------- Abmanju 1. Take charge of the new forums. Firstly, get the final few links for the menu. Pick them and think about what we'd need at the top. Read each and every sticky very carefully and make sure it is up to date. Have your mods help you validate people during the switch. 2. Make your community leaders host community events. At least two every week honestly/ Were not getting enough community events 3. Help with major recruitment, on the verge of mass recruitment. WG has to grow to succeed. Growth is our primary objective. The best way to help us grow is to talk to our intros personally and keep them interested in WG. We get decent numbers of intros but they fall away. 4. Talk to each individual member and see if you can resolve any personal grudges or tensions. Try and aim for a clan where everyone likes everyone. 5. Take on my most important job. Counselling. Speak to the unhappiest members and make sure they get heard. Take on their ideas and explain things they don't understand about how things work. If they are angry, make some compromises with them. But be firm. ----------- The Head of Skills Whoever it will be 1. Give the skills sector a real purpose. This is a tough one that will take hours of strategic thinking. Skills can be trained any time. YOu can go cut wood whenever you want. Why would you need to organsie trips to go cut wood? Yes it's more social but the members may feel it is a waste of time to go woodcutting randomly when they want to do something else. The fighting sector is successful because their purpose is to be stronger than the other clans in the wilderness. The skills sector needs a reason for members to come together and work. Tears of Guthix can be done any time too. Create events where skillers actually benefit more by doing it in a team rather than alone. Like PKing which is more successful in groups, skillers need REASONS for events. Apprenticeships is a good system, so get that going. Think of others, such as time limit skilling... where members race in short periods of time, perhapos against another clan. One rep for Herblore from each clan. The clan who gains the most herblore in an hour wins... or something like that. Just an idea. Ask WG for help as well. Another good event that is mroe beneficial to groups, is the lecture system. find a top 20 skiller for a skill and get them to train the skills sector. Don't forget to record the lecture for future reference. 2. Visit two other skills clans. Ask the leadership politely if you may look at their forums... make sure they are experienced skill clans. Sit in and observe what they do. You may get ideas. Avoid The Slayer's Guild. It's run by a tyrant. ---------- Don't forget I'm on for a few minutes every few days. PM me if you need anything. I will respond to all PMs within 3 or 4 days. |

Right now WG members are not taking the commands of the council seriously. We have to lift our game and get more intimate with the members. This means approaching each individual and giving them goals. Yes, that's a lot of work, going to each member, but make sure you take the time to PM them in the IRC. Get each member to do the following: 1. Paste 2 codes each day into the recruitment forums of Sal's Forums, Official RS forums, RSC, and Other Fansites. http://z6.invisionfree.com/Wildguard/index...showtopic=15717 2. Attend recruitment events. Abs will get the community leaders to organise that 3. Ensure that they are not foregoing RS for other games. If they are particularly inactive, just speak to them and ask them politely to attend more events. If they get aggressive, it's their fault. Don't buy it. If they get angry at you, they have no reason to. It's their own fault for being inactive. Ask them politely to be more active and if they get aggressive, don't be lenient. 4. Have our members train combat after summoning settles down. We want to lift our average so that our lack of numbers doesn't hit us so hard. |

Second thing. Mass recruitment is needed. Be lenient with applications. Try every possibillity to bypass the waiting period. Get the intros to join asap through use of mobile phone numbers, and REFERRALS. Also, if you recruit in-game... eg, someone who is training or fishing near you, you can admit them straight away. They won't be spies. I strongly recommend in-game recruitment, though it is very risky in terms of websites. So Mass recruitment: 1. In game recruitment means less spies which allows you to bypass the waiting period. 2. RSC recruitment topics might allow you to bypass it as well. 3. Try getting people into WG through referrals. 4. Get phone numbers off intros so that they may be let in immediately. Jenny, can you please find an SMS website that lets you send SMS worldwide, and make sure it has an address book function so we can store the phone numbers. http://www.thesmszone.com was perfect until i realised I couldn't top up my credit. See if you can find something like that. |
