Saw this in a folder somewhere



When the DS leaders announced that the clan was to fold in March 07, the topic had an amazing amount of people reading it. The eqivellant of more than 11 WG's were reading it just in that picture. I think it then climbed a few more hundred since.

If anything was a mark in RS clan history, this would be it.

That was a very sad day.

They were the biggest thing on rs in there time.

Probably the best day in RS, too bad I was RS-inactive during that time due to national service.

why'd they close and stuff. and what were they famous for. and if all those people supported them HOW could they close at all?

They closed cause of some stuff with the leaders. They were the number 1 clan, peeps always tried to team up against them in the wilderness. They were a clan that managed to beat DI back when DI was the number 1 clan.

I think you'll find both the leaders went to college, and no one else could take over the clan.

They were known well for being the best of the best, pulling 399 opts constantly, and beating everyone in site.

DS were just a unique clan. No one could beat them (in f2p, anyway). They could often take on 2 large clans at once, and come out on top. Their organisation and returning was breathtaking. I can't see another clan ever rising up like DS did.

DS = no other clan will come even close to what they had.

DS are a bunch of idiots last time who think they're all so great cos all the smaller clans at that time idolize them much. They're nothing to big clans like RSD and DI at that time. F2P is all they do cause they can pull opts esp. during Aussie-friendly times (most of DS are Aussies). Anything to do with P2P and they're screwed - esp. MB.

They've got a few cool dudes in there but most of them are arrogant and annoying kids who are probably in DF now after DS split. I dont remember having any good relations with em at all so it's great to see em die.

I was totally shocked when it happened. DS were in their prime I thought they'd be an everlasting dynasty. Was a sad day.

Once? DS and DI had fights pretty much every week, and DS always won (especially later on). It got to the point that DI rejected the offer because they knew they'd lose.

Yup I remember being on that topic. That picture didn't manage to capture my redness though lol.

But tis was a sad day indeed. So many people thought it was a fake because DS members all seemed to know about it and weren't pouring their hearts in the topic. But it was only because they were notified it early on.

I think they wanted to preserve the longest winning streak in history. That is awesome cause DS was one of the best clans to live.
