WG's warring focus

By Kyle on 20/09/2010
Alright. Lordy, I know WG is a P2P clan and all, but seeing the F2P fight with DW showed me we have potential to be strong in both. They do fights all the time, and the fact we stayed close to their skill for most of the fight showed me we have what it takes to become a force in both F2P and P2P.

This goes out to all staff, though.
Where do you think WG should head towards in F2P? More full outs, matched opts, or pkri/cwri stuff?

I posted a poll in general matters for the whole clan to vote.

I just don't think we can win matched opts often, our levels just aren't good enough, in general.

So, I think we should head for full outs + pkris, perhaps more in CWA like last night, so people don't rage about losing their banks...

I'd love for us to improve our F2P fighting.

We can't do that without practice, though. The only way we can get better is with more fights. Tank practices, intraclans and allied fights hardly compare. We will not improve unless we get at least 2 fights per week.

We also really need to find a way to get our lower levels to train, too..
I've had the excuse
"WG already controls my bank, they're not going to control my stats" for not training.

Yeah the best experience is the real thing, i say lower scale mini-wars are good for this type of thing. Make a few more miniwars and have them focused on improvement; really try and pinpoint where we are lacking, whos getting koed and what we can do to improve basically.

Larger scaled wars are generally are a bit more fast paced, so alot goes under the radar and its sometimes harder to really see the smaller things like whos getting koed or not binding etc.

Tldr; make miniwars based on improvement. (if we outpull make our veterans sit out so our newer members can learn)

Ya go ahead and make some mini wars for the week if you like. Don't need a huge discussion on it.

Seriously nagging at people is just not going to do it. It has to be their own choice not anyone bugging them. My own personality is to not do something if I am bugged to much. I am completely compliant most of the time with rules though. When Gene says I'd like everyone to get a lvl or two for this upcoming war to help the clan, then that is more motivation then being nagged at.

Also, just getting them to break the regular cycle of whatever they are doing could be a good idea. My own personal thing is that once I am put in AZ, I end up staying and training there, but once I leave the area it's not as likely I'll return unless I do right away. I'm not sure how to use that information, but it might be helpful to think about it. Get the lower lvls maybe to go train with someone that enjoys it.

Edit: I like f2p full wars at cwa. It is easy to know what to wear and I go with the routine of the things I know to take.
