Raid Fairness Proposal

Raiding is not about loot and making money but it certainly boosts the enjoyment of it. Getting kills is the goal however this cannot be achieved unless a few members sacrifice their ability to do damage for TBs and Spears. In order to get a kill efficiently it is very much necessary. The problem here is that the TBers and Spears end up getting very few kills if any at all. I bring this up because some have noticed that others, including myself, are guilty for never TBing or Spearing on raids. The reality is that the higher stats are much more useful in doing damage and therefore getting the kill.

I'm suggesting a simple solution to this which is kind of like a reward system. It is not mandatory but definitely encouraged. If you're not TBing or Spearing, I'm suggesting you give a free 76k to a TBer or Spearer for every kill you get (ex. 4 kills = 4 free 76ks). Most kills range from 300k-1m. A 76k subtraction from every kill will not make a significant impact on your overall gain. Remember, you probably wouldn't of got a kill in the first place if it wasn't for them. This could potentially give someone back all of the sets the may have lost.

This makes the raid a bit more enjoyable for everyone and people will no longer get frustrated at dying with no gain. The only catch here would be that all of this must be done at the end of the raid so no one starts begging and losing focus.

I agree to a degree. I used to TB all the time but recently ive been on ancients as i was fed up of getting kills.

BUt thats not to say tbers dont get kills. And i would say even those using spears get kills. As joe got one from me the other day that i killed but joe got the drop with a damn spear..

The only way round this is that we have some sort of rota to whose tbing or ancienting. And if you do miss a raid. then you will be tbing or whatever at the next one. Ofc that means if you dont have 85 mage then you will be spearing. +P

aye ofc. But then maybe we should get everyone to bring dspears and swap who uses them per encounter?

I've TBed a few times, it's wicked annoying when people go "TBers should be doing better" when you're on a raid... if you think the tbers aren't doing a good job, DO IT YOUR FUCKING SELF (explodes)

I normally use spear specs and things if i'm on low ep. I would love to see more spearing I know it's similar to tbing when raidleaders complain about a person not staying frozen and it just needs one spear to kill them.
and the few times i've tbed it's been really anyoying the tbs splashing and it takes 3-4 attempts just for someone to complain.

Thanks for posting about fairness. When I raid I usually mage in some manner and I really do not care if I get kills. I do care when people rage about those maging. We do not intentionally splash so yeh if you do not like the splashes do it yourself.

I found tb'ing with a Dbow makes up for the lack of damage from casting a TB . But yes Randy you're completely right, it's a shame the way PvP loot system has fanned out in runescape where the whole quote "share i tbed" has become nulled and pretty much shunned out all tbers from any of the excitement of receiving any awards from the person they tbed.

im not fussed, as you touched on, raids arnt about getting kills, its about getting the clan together firstly, and secondly get the name WG out there again, and fighting other teams/clans. The loot is just a bonus, and shouldnt be looted until the team has been cleared (this also means for killing lone people)

so i tb every raid, im not fussed, i havnt lost a P2P set in around 6 weeks, guess it helps to have people like maths, vephy and fbi is zuriels lolz

Yes the people who never get a kill should get a free 76k.

This is already happening, after every raid jordan, or whoever gets like 2mil from the raid is like "who wants a 76k?" or if i ask for one someone will give me one. Its not like members refuse to give them.

The person who makes the most money on the trip should offer to give a few 76ks. Not be forced.
