HMM?

By Mickey on 24/04/2008
It's came to my attention, that you only need to be in WG for 4 months and be at minimum a normal member. This forum is for Higher Guardians, right? Well if a normal member was to become an Emertius, they would be able to see this forum...

There should maybe a rank for people that are normal member Emertius and Higher Guardian Emertius orso.

By JC on 24/04/2008
I think there is restrictions on who is elegible for emertius? I think you have to be a higher guardian anyway?

By Abmanju on 24/04/2008
Most likely, you get promoted to Higher Guardian before 4 months, if they have been in Wg for 4 months & not Higher Guardian.

And if be necessary, I'll increase the requirement to Higher Guardian+ to be Emeritus only.

By Elyxiatic on 24/04/2008
Yeah that would be a good idea to up the emeritus requirement to higher guardian+
Good find wink.gif

By Samurai-JM on 24/04/2008
That was my idea ffs. Normal E, Higher E, and ELITE E veryevilgrin.gif

By Spicy63 on 24/04/2008
Hmm, if I remember correctly.
Only Senior Members + got Emeritus before,
Which would be equal to...Elite? Now

What Spicy said ^

Trial > Clan Friend
Guardian > Ex-Member
Elite > Emeritus

... dunno where higher guardian gets lawl

I don't think the Higher Guardian Rank is needed at all to be perfectly honest.
Take it out and have All Higher Guardians > Elite Guardians.

But that's off subject.
As Zlat said,

Trial > Clan Friend
Guardian > Ex-Member
Elite+ > Emeritus

Higher Guardians would be selected personally for Emeritus based on different Variables;

Reason for Leaving
Effort while in WG
Etc...

That's how it was done before excluding Higher Guardian because we didn't have that Rank.

By Tmal34 on 24/04/2008
I agree that Emeritus should only be for Elite+ automatically and judged case by case for higher.

By Tnuac on 24/04/2008
Emeritus is an honoured rank. It isn't just the 'rank for inactives'.

You should only get emeritus after being an elite guardian.

By T Dwag on 24/04/2008
What Mike said. Emeritus is a rank that needs to be earned so there won't be any normal members receiving the rank anytime soon happy.gif

i think emertis is handed out too easy

By Pazenon on 25/04/2008
The definition of Emeritus today: A retirement home for any WG member who has quit RS / is inactive on RS. This isn't what it was made for =/

Put some restrictions (i.e Elite Guardian+) for people willing to turn Emeritus, as a solution.

By Firelion08 on 25/04/2008
Most of us are old people anyway.
The newer ones usually quit completely... Which, to me, makes sense, considering the fact that I'm still here because I'm too used to interacting with you fools.

By Tmal34 on 25/04/2008
Julian no one actually likes you, sad it had to be me to say it.

And yeah most emeritus' are real old folks who leave and return, I don't see an issue with them getting it. I do think you should have been a significant part of WG to hold the title though. Whether it is having been in the clan for more than a year, reaching elite guardian, former council, former moderator, whatever.

I thinkthe restrictions should be fairly tough though so as to discourage people from taking emeritus early on.

I wasn't keeping track... But you were a farily high rank, weren't you, Kiwi? If not, you were close to reaching one.

Kiwi weren't you in more than a year?
And if it were changed I wouldn't think any current emeritus would be effected.
