[Updated][Recap]TS Clan Meeting

By rachellove9 on 20/11/2010
I'd like to thank everyone for coming and those that got your ideas and input to me. It takes many people to be a clan. Your ideas are always appreciated. We had some casual talk while we gave everyone time to come on TS. We started about 10 minutes late. The meeting lasted a little over an hour long. I think it was a pretty productive meeting with some great input and ideas.

If I missed anyone for attendance please post below.

PVP

Kyle opened up our discussion with letting us know that the allied practice fights are being worked out with TS. He let us know we still have Cory getting his plan together for some team practice that should be pretty fun.

I quoted Randy from a pm.

QUOTE
I think people are being slightly too carefree on raids. Leaders and members have both been unfocused and jabbering about random stuff and then when we find action we're completely unready. There needs to be more strict rules and everyone should be more focused.

The general feeling is that WG messes around and has fun. We need to realize that there is a time to not be messing around. We discussed members talking back to the leaders and questioning them as we are in a war or on a raid. It really doesn't work out well and shows little respect for our leaders. This arguing with the raid leaders is not going to be happening. I'm looking into implementing a system of if you talk out in a distracting way or disrespect during a raid you will be kicked from TS. If this continues to be a problem warn levels and other measures might be taken. In general more respect to each other. To be honest it will make the raids more fun if we don't have a bunch of people talking over our callers.

I quoted Randy again from a pm.

I also think that we should start making everyone mage on raids (ancients and TBs). Especially if the pull isn't great. Depending on who we find, raid leader should start encouraging summons.

This lead us to discuss that mages and rangers should not be our spammers. It really doesn't make sense. But we only have maybe three melee people at most raids. We discussed how the clan as a whole spreads out to far from each other and needs to stay more compact and closer during raids. Some plan on trying to use quick chat. We discussed that auto type programs are against RS rules so against WG rules. I made a final decision that this will not be allowed.

Our next two allied raids will be f2p. This is followed by the p2p Mega raid for December 4 that I set up with Chillie. Kyle will be handling all three of these raids. WizardofGod has permission to bring his team, but they must be on ts with us. He is giving Kyle a list of names of who will be attending.

WizardofGod has also invited WG to go to any of his team's raids to help get us some practice with p2p or in the plus one.

A brief discussion about some changes to our gear requirements at time of joining came up. All those discussing have access to lvl 1 3/4 thread that I started earlier this week to update our gear list. I'll be looking at this soon.

We discussed how our old system of making trials do mandatory practices was effective. We will be putting something back into the graduation/trial time. I'll be looking closer at what this is going to be shortly. This will help promote practices and hopefully the members will want to help the trials get their practices in so they can graduate.

We discussed bad decisions that callers sometime make. We should not be dd at a hot spot and logging into another world. We need much more detailed calling like "I need a d-spear, spec, or ect . . . Call piles and have the upcoming pile ready for the click change. We need better transitions. Keep the clan closer in the area together and not to far spread out. Call should be really specific. No generalizing direction and keep calling the pile over and over again. We need returning in same sets and in general returning. Try to always take out the mages first.

Council Election

It was discussed and I reaffirmed that this election is for one council spot. Kyle briefly discussed being in council too.

Fan sites

I explained that we needed some volunteers to work on keeping the fan-site recruitment topics bumped. This really can lead to much larger member list.

Tip-It ~ Gladiators have declared on us. I'm going to check with Justin and Gene about this. They listed off the clans in the top 10 on there and we may want to get back to these wars now.

Rule Clarified

We do not attack a person welding a anti-fire shield in P2P. We do not hunt dragon killers. We can however attack them in F2P as there are not dragons. Stay to the honor of our code.

Peace out,
Rachy

Just one thing i would like to add.

Clan Chat:

We need more people to be more aware of this. It's kind of annoying when people are spending 10 minutes trying to figure out where we are because they can't talk. I had this problem during the meeting (sometimes i have people around and i just find it quite rude to be talking on TS aswell), because i was typing in the bottom of Teamspeak practically the whole time. People just need to be more aware of whats going on.

Awesome Recap thought Rachel. Thanks.
