Truth.
We're up there with True Ownage, Phalanx, The Rising, Oblivion and quite a few others.
In fact, I could come up with a top 10 list, but it wouldn't include any clans like RoT, EoS, VR, DK or any other clan that the rest of the clan world considers top 10 material.
Because they're really not.
Go on RSC Clan Discussion and most topics will either be about the Crashwar or the clan world dying. It's very typical of RSC to simply talk about their self-destruction and do nothing about it. Oddly enough there are incredible amounts of clanless players nowadays who could very easily fit into a clan, but they don't want to. Why?
One word. Crashwar.
And once again RSC, usually the clans dominating the Crashwar at the time will give you lectures on how "It's fun to crash other clans" and "We enjoy it". And the involvement is getting bigger. But the numbers are depleting. Otherwise they'd have maxed out a server by now.
But they haven't. Because eventually people are going to get bored of gearing up, walking up, dying to a fall-in of max opts, and repeating this process. Right now, that's what it's like being in a Crashwar clan. Sound fun to you? Certainly not.
That's why you're here in WG. We don't involve ourselves in this crashwar for a reason. The term "crash" as we know it always means an imbalance. And four years ago, crashing was an original way to get on top. RoT and NI are two clans who owe much of their previous success of that no-honour concept.
That concept is not dead - people only say honour is dead because the top clans don't advocate it. I have seen honour recently in Phalanx, Brutality, Gladz, 'The', and many other clans. Even RSD... I once went up to see the crashwar myself, and got in a fight with a member of the cc Critical Damage. He walked over to RSD's fall-in (A good 80+ people) and said "This guy is DK". Thankfully, RSD weren't stupid enough to assume "WG Keanu" was in Divine Kings, and they didn't touch me. I still have massive respect for RSD for that small gesture of honour.
So Crashwar aside, what are we left with? Well, a lot really. The one thing that sets a lot of us aside is we have the balls to accept defeat. The top clans do not. Hence why this crashwar has been going on for so long. No matter how many times RoT clears EoS or DK clears CD or VR clears TT, they all go back for more, because they want the final word. We're not like that. We have a roughly 70% victory rate in wars, and we're proud of that. For one, it shows we don't go to extensive lengths like flaming and DDoSing (Like every other top clan) to secure a victory. If we did, who would want to war us?
We stand up to say we don't resort to NH to have fun. Look at our past wars. Turning Tides, Gladz, AA, even Oblivion... look at the originality we have. You can't say that's not enjoyable. And don't forget everything else there is about WG alongside. Our community, atmosphere, website, forums, history, reputation, prestige... a clan's strength is not measured in numbers, or return sets, or how many times you can go up to a clusterfuck to try and crash somebody else. We're a MMORPG clan in this instance. I don't know about you, but I join clans because at the end of the day I want to have fun and enjoy myself. WG is the strongest clan who actually caters for that.
That's what makes WG #1 P2P.

I agree with this most of what you said Keanu.
Of course we're not ranked period in the eyes of most of the clan world, but I think our honor does put us on a different level than all of those other "top" clans.
I think calling us rank #1 is a bit of a long-shot, though.
