Keanu's Half-Op

I don't believe giving in to them on this is best. How is letting them bully him to this extent helping anything. He got the half-op. It wasn't a horrible thing either. He is semi-staff. Be honest here, if he was mature, we would all love him to death for all his help. It's just the little things he does that they hate so much.

On the internet it is so easy to hold things against someone forever or to simply forget about it. Look at Tweek. He has passionate haters. Same as Steveypant, Robertw56 and lots of others. Just jealousy sorta got in the way. Keanu seems to them like the child with the golden spoon. They fail to see his work even though they know he does it.

Rage sets in cause they don't like his view of the history. In USA, It's the same with our news on tv or the newspapers. The person reporting reports things to their own opinion. The thing is that no one says they can't submit possible add in or changes.

One thing that bothers me at a personal level is that Abs was one of the greatest council during his time. He actively and successfully kept WG going after some pretty rough times. Like Jenny was playing WOW when she was Primary Leader. I don't think I even found Abs mentioned.

George sorta disturbed me when he went all through the forum taking away Abs posts by grouping it under his own name. I had always found Abs post like seeing a good friend when I was doing stuff. lol He did the same thing to Muggers but completely deleted him out of WG history.

I hope you get what I am saying about the perception from different people. Keanu is not trying to put his nose up anyone's butt, he simply adores Gene as much as he loves WG. Gene has been very kind to him and he has to love that. Especially with most of WG hating on him all the time.

Sorry about the long post but some of those people are not so innocent that are pointing fingers at Keanu. They have their own issues, but they have grouped together to be anti-Keanu.

Yes, I have noticed that as the clan ages, they are less malleable.
They can't adapt to people as well.
One of the downsides of being older is that your mind closes up.
Change becomes more difficult and therefore reconciliation.

The anti-Keanu group can't be changed without great effort. i tried Joe and one or two others. Too much effort. Let's work on keanu moreso, because he's more impressionable and he *is* asking for it.

I would like to work with Keanu, him and I have talked a lot of recent, I honestly see him as being an outstanding future council member, but before this can happen he needs to work on a few things, he is aware of them of course now, if he can grow from this he has the opportunity to show people what he can be and change the opinions that people have upon him.

I have myself been truly harsh towards him, and him and I have talked about this, I haven't handled my frustrations with him very well and I will be the first to admit that and I know I have been a factor that encouraged other members to vent their frustration as well.

I now want to turn this around, and mentor Keanu, I have told him how I feel and that I believe he has a bright future as a staff member and that I will be hard on him, not in the way I was but fair, and soley for his benefit, I got the impression he was quite pleased by this, and it is my hope that all four of us can give him some direction and keep an eye out for him, and should we see him begin to wander at all be it a silly forum post, or mucking around on a raid or an IRC comment, we then send him a PM reminding him and just guide him back in the right direction before things get too far. It is my hope and belief over time that we guide him towards where he wants to be, I know and feel personally that he is an amazing person at heart and I hope over time people see this and will warm to him.

Thanks Justin. I totally agree with you on this. He just needs some guidance. He will be doing some great things with us and I also see him at some point being not just council but an amazing council. He needs real confidence in himself.

We still need to be pushing ourselves for 80 members. At that point we will need to think about adding another council member.
