New Warlord

The council has been discussing promoting Darth/Kyle to be our Warlord. He is very experienced, active, been filling in atm for us and willing.

However, we like to always give the clan a choice when deciding on who runs the clan. Each member has a vote and we don't want to take that away from anyone.

Kyle would be able to serve us til March 7, 2011. During this time, we would also open up two raid leader potions. Our hope is that the raid leaders will learn and work with Kyle to be ready to step up when he leaves. Election being held around the beginning of March.

Please be respectful. Remember to check the other IA to see who was promoted this month.

Unless Bto would run for warlord, I say yes.

Im sure Darth would do a good job as Warlord.

Sorry, but I would not be allowing emeritus to run for council election. It would be a bad thing as they are to inactive to be currently on our member list. I would want to see at least 1 month of actively being back as a full member.

BTO is of course one of my favorite warlords too.

BTO ain't here and I know that Darth will do an amazing job as Warlord.. Many wars with Kyle at the steer I've been attending. He's got what the clan needs to advance. Kyle da man!

Since it looks as if Kyle won't get Primary Leader in the near future.... YES... i mean i suppose so!

Also - point of interest and hillarity - does this mean Kyle want's to be Council again? NEVER HEARD OF ANYONE PUTTING THEMSELF THROUGH THAT SUFFERING TWICE! Except Stokenut and Tmal34.... 'nuff said.

No, jokes aside, Kyle is the sort of person we need right now... and always tbh - reliable, knows what WG can do and what we need and has sufficient experience to do the job well!

Voted No for issues that only Darth_Magul and I can discuss.

If not Darth, then who else? Darth is the only candidate that is active, has a high enough combat level, has experience + is a decent caller, and shows he cares about the clan. Nobody else fits all of these three things like he does, therefore I think he is the perfect selection to fit the Warlord position.

Can Kyle be Primary leader and Warlord ?

Now for my real post:

I told this to Rachel awhile ago.

I said that Darth should be promoted straight to Warlord, as he has the experience in council, and as a leader of the clan.

But, I thought promoting a second Warlord ALONG WITH Darth would be the best move.

Darth can be the main warlord, but helps the new warlord before Darth has to leave. This would give the new warlord 2 months in the position along with Darth, helping him along the way, getting him ready to take over.

Having two warlords has been very productive in the past, especially highlighted by Mugger/Glenn in 08, where we went from pulling 25's, to pulling 60's in the Jagex Cup.

This also would eliminate the need for promotion again in March.

Jayson, Darth is basically the only person who completely deserves the rank [at the moment]. Plus we don't really need more than one at the time based on our current numbers.

No need to jump to conclusions, who knows what or how Darth will do as Warlord. As I mentioned already, with our current member base we don't need more than one.

Yes but something should be put in place to make sure a replacement is found ASAP when he has to leave. Whether that be electing another now or a few weeks before he leaves is yet to be seen, but make sure some plan is in place.

To DZ:
The plan is to elect 2 raid leaders now and then open up council election for a warlord the last week of February. This gives the raid leaders some time to get ready to apply and know if they can do the warlord position.
