Bi-weekly tank practices.

By Kyle on 18/01/2011
Yes or no.

Mandatory to attend, each alternating one will be in P2P/F2P.

Week 1:F2P
Week 3:P2P
Week 5:F2P

Etc, etc. When would be the perfect time to do this? I'm thinking possibly friday nights.

I would say after every second war. You shouldn't be leaving since its mandatory, threaten people with warn levels if they leave, which should scare some guys if they think about skipping it.

At least then we have about 20 people on a person which is good practice.

I was also thinking about doing a 'returning practice' along with a tank practice, maybe friday.

So everyone goes up to greaters, dies, and then returns as fast as possible. Would like to see how slow people are at returning etc. This could be followed by a normal tank test as well.

I don't mind, I'd be willing to participate in it. Last round I died with food still in inventory.. So I could use it. First round I did fine, even though I was first piled.

I hate Tank Practice, it's a bad idea, waste of supplies, and people will just skip it and say they have something important to do. Wars are tank practice, it's the only way people will learn. Remind people how to tank before wars (Prayer Before Rune, etc.), and make sure if people are wearing hoods and get KO'd tell them not to use them anymore.

I think that some suggestions for practicing on their own would be a good idea. I do that myself sometimes before wars to get ready.

1. Go to CWA world place and join a f2p team. Just play and have fun. It's the general idea of CWA warring but not the same organization.

2. Get a higher lvl friend to go to the Duel arena and attack you different styles. Helps to learn the switching of clothes and prayers.

3. Dragons or Corp can be a good place to practice pots and eating. Anything that is likely to KO you if you don't pay attention is helpful to teach you to react faster.

I think Zemus is doing a guide for me on p2p eating, pots, ect. That really should be helpful. If you think about it, what skiller or low level ever uses sara pots, restore, ect on a regular basis to be ready with them. I have to review it myself every war or I end up not suing the ones in my inventory anyway.

To add to what Rachel said you can just go tank Welfarers or some other clan in P2P for good tank practice, you don't even need gear you can just take pots/food. I tried it a couple of times yesterday and it helped me.
I know it's not my place to discuss this but I have to agree with Aragon.
