Need Xbox Pros Help

Yo.
At the moment I am currently using my roommate's Xbox 360.
I do not have my own but I plan on getting one next year.
Recently I have order Marvel vs Capcom 3 which comes with some nice DLC.
I'm worried though, will the DLC only stick to his hard-drive even if it's on my Gamer tag?
The site says "Content is available 4 weeks post-launch."
I tried researching it a bit and found different answers..
Apparently whenever I sign onto my own GT on my own Xbox, it will give me the option to re-download the DLC.
I hope.
Maybe I need a memory card to download it to?

I've always thought you can redownload the content you've bought on a different hd from your gamer tag. I would check but my memberships ran out

You can recoverwith gamertag, I had a friend who gave up on xbox, and his brother recovered the gamertag and all his DLC

Well, the problem I had, I have this data on my account that is now banned (DLC shit), it's on my hard drive, but I can't transfer it to my other account on the same HD, so I have like, battlehorn castle for Oblivion, but I can't play it. Sucks, man.

Randy, if you're getting a new Xbox you should be able to recover your gamertag on it and be able to download the DLC again on the new console.
