SOTW and CSOTW rewards?

Skill of the Week and Combat Skill of the Week have been ... well, ignored for a while now. I am trying to change that, because we need to work on our levels, Combat especially, and I believe this is a great way to do so.

Currently, this is how you are rewarded in SOTW/CSOTW:

• Your name appears on the main forum page.
• You receive attendance points based on the tier you reach.
• Your name gets added to the all-time winners list, stickied at the top of the SOTW and CSOTW forums.

In addition to those rewards, I'm looking to add a couple more enticing incentives for competing in these competitions. A couple ideas that have already been discussed I included in the poll, but please suggest any ideas you may have!

For example, one idea that a member told me a while back was to treat these competitions like a lottery. Every member would have to pay up a certain cash amount to enter the competition, and then the winner would end up getting it all. The only problem I can see with this is people not trusting the staff with their money ... although they should .

I am already thinking that if cash rewards are used in the future, then the CSOTW winner will receive a higher cash reward than the SOTW winner, given that combat is what we're trying to improve the most.

Personally i dont care if you need a reward to train thats sad.

I'm trying to get more involvement in these competitions, and better rewards will do that.

The fact that it will result in more members training is an added bonus.

Attendence is enough for me personally. Anything with competition tables, I always get the 3 points where I can!

I haven't done this for a long time now. I do remember that when my schedule didn't allow me to attend as many things, I always did it to get the attendance.

The attendance was the motivation. To me this needs to be talked about at a clan meeting. I think if more people understood and knew about it they would be doing it. It can be fun if you have two members racing on it or more.

The best thing would be a lottery where there's a ticket price to join and the winner gets the pot.

A little teamspeak Icon for a month or however long until the next competition ends thats a little ribbon as a "winner" server group.

10m buy in to start off with so I make decent money no lifing them both.

I voted for a ingame reward because I think it would really motivate our lower level membered to get some combat levels also I want some cash if I win one of these .
