Trial Raid Leader Applications
By rachellove9 on 04/02/2011
Trial Raid Leader Applications:
We are hoping to promote Five Trial Raid Leaders with good leadership potential. This job should not be taken lightly. We are a PvP clan and need strong leaders in the wild. Be ready to host several pvp events each week.
You have to be able to do the normal staff IRC moderator, good informative recaps, keep attendance on a timely manner and make sure staff updates, talk clearly on TS3, Ability to help members catch up to the raid, know the wilderness layout well and be aware always of other clans.
You are not above anyone but to treat all members as equals with respect at all times. You are representing The Wilderness Guardians at all times. As a Trial Raid Leader, you will be half-op in IRC and channel administrator on TS in the war channel. Your forum level of security will stay the same however you will have a special forum to discuss matters with other Trial Raid Leaders.
You are also expected to be able to give clear solid calls over TS3 with confidence and without delay. IRC is definitely required as it is for all members in the clan. We look well on those that are very active as well. You will need to answer all questions in a timely and respectful manner.
This rank has been part of our WG history. If you are chosen to be a Trial Raid Leader, you will be presented the opportunity to be a full Raid Leader, following a 3 week trial period. What you show us during your trial period will determine if you receive that opportunity, which not everyone will. However, if you are not promoted, you may remain as a back-up caller for WG. Finally, you may decide you do not like the position and can end your trial at anytime.
If I have not covered anything that you have questions over, please pm me and I will explain things further. All council is willing to help you with this.
Post your application here on this topic! This is a great opportunity to help the clan with our pvp.
Good luck to all, only apply if you really think you can lead us to victory.
Applications CLOSE on Tuesday, February 8, at 5 pm EST time.

What do you have to offer as a Trial Raid Leader? I am an experienced player, dont get under pressure and would be able to call without panicking and i am also able to tank + i am a high level
What current issues in WG can you help with as Trial Raid Leader? Being a trial i assume that means i will receive some training and with this i would be able to help others better there raid techniques an also PVP in general as well as improve my own techniques meaning win win all round.
Is there anything coming up in the next 6 months that could make you inactive? I am in my last year at school and with such means i have exams and also i am very sporty so at times i may have training or matches.
Is there anything else you would like to say?I think i would make an adequit raid leader as i believe that i am a good leader IRL and i can bring this to my game

What do you have to offer as a Trial Raid Leader?
My time. I'm active with wg events Im often at the second half of The Gmt/American raid and all of the Aussie raid so im around for raids. In addition I think I have only missed a few wars during my time in wg mainly due to them being in a non-Gmt time friendly period.
My knowledge. I know the Wilderness very well. Even since these new changes which may be new some players but not to players who've been around since before the wilderness was taken away from us. I know where the new spots are to pk and how to use them to the best of our skill.
F2P. Personally I believe that there isn’t a raid leader that we have who enjoys F2P. F2p is part of PVP clanning just as much as P2P. Yes im aware that WG is mainly
P2p but we need to show that we have the ability to do both. Wars are often in F2P. F2P is my favoured area of PVP by far just because it takes that little bit more Teamwork to get a kill rather than just one man freezing. So I think as trial raid leader I have the advantage of enjoying f2p unlike most.
What current issues in WG can you help with as Trial Raid Leader?
Returning. And fast returning I believe that returning and how to return is needed in wg as at the moment people can take 5mins to return which by then it is too late.
In addition I think the lack of GMT time zones Raid leaders needs to be addressed and that if I was made a trial I can try to fit that role.
Is there anything coming up in the next 6 months that could make you inactive?
I do have exams in June so ill be off for about a month or so but I’ll still be on for raids.
Is there anything else you would like to say?
I do realise this is trial and by that I look at it is a period that I can work out and blips in my leading that need to be ironed out.
Other than that Good luck to all and thanks for reading.

What do you have to offer as a Trial Raid Leader?
A ton of experience last 3 years almost in WG. Within that time I have seen many warlords and raid leaders. Though I have never taken this job before in WG I think the experience could better WG and help develop my own leadership abilities better.
What current issues in WG can you help with as Trial Raid Leader?
My leading style is highly centered around how active on I am RS. I'm one of the most active players here currently. I always bring this through toward members like a trickle down effect. So I will be helping with recaps if permitted, scheduling of pvp events, just maintaining the activity of the rank. At end of this I hope to have found some inspiration for the members on pvp trips, which will be the ultimate goal.
Is there anything coming up in the next 6 months that could make you inactive?
Well I'm working on call at the moment so some days might be a little unpredictable. Currently trying to find a more full time job, will likely be on call as well. I'm sure I can manage my time wisely though.
Is there anything else you would like to say?
Not particularly much to say.

What do you have to offer as a Trial Raid Leader?
I'm going to be honest as I can be. As a Trial Raid Leader, I will always be their for wars, PKRI's, events, anything that I am needed for or is mandatory. I will help every member in WG obtain many pk sets, or anything they need. That's a HUGE PROMISE. Anyway, I want to win a war under my calling. Raids goes fine when I lead and call. And since we have good raid leaders and a Warlord, I can be as good as them.
I will return as much as a I can. I will be active. I will do every little thing for this clan. I will go to the end, to make sure when we have a war .. to pull at least 35-40. I will make sure, when I call or lead, I will NOT let my Guardians down! I promis each and everyone of you guys, I will do the best as I can. I learned from my mistakes, and I will make-up everything for this to approve that I'm worth a Trial Raid Leader.
P2P is like cutting a piece of cake. When it comes down to F2P, we aren't as strong. I promise you guys THIS I will make sure that when it comes down to F2P, were going to kick ass! I also notice that WG members might not have sets. Please, PM me on IRC and say, Joey ; i need sets help me out? I'll give you atleasy 5-10 sets to make sure you aren't left out at Raids + Wars. You will enjoy WG more then you do now. And since new comers might need help with Sets and or warring ; I'll be their to guide them threw it all.
What current issues in WG can you help with as Trial Raid Leader?
During wars, people might not always listen. I will be on guard 24/7 calling on TS or not, to make sure EVERYONE is doing what they have to do. I will push everyone to get better at something they aren't when it comes to wars.
P2P wars and F2P wars, will be easy for us. If everyone can listen, and do put their heart to what I'm telling them ; then this will be a huge success.
Is there anything coming up in the next 6 months that could make you inactive? Honestly, I can't tell the future, but atm No.
Is there anything else you would like to say?
Thank you Rachel for reading this. I put all my heart into this to show you, to show EVERYONE what I have as a RL. I wish everyone eles much much much luck.

Good luck to everyone, especificaly joey (who now owes me 60m because of my fire cape

). I've seen joey as a great single PKer and Multi PKer as well. He would make an excellent (trial or not) raid leader. Great to see the effort you've put into writing that joey. I know you really mean that. Good luck everyone!

What do you have to offer as a Trial Raid Leader?
I offer, commitment. I have been a member for a year now. When i joined, i was only level 108+7. I wasnt inspired to train, until i realised my stats werent as great as they could be. In that Year of time i have raised my combat level 17times, and achieved 99 strength, attack, constitution, 94 mage, and 98defense.
I also am willing to put into even more time than i put now, i will work my hardest to host as many raids as I can fit into WG's schedule. I will create smart wars with clans that we have a chance against, I do not aim to fight clans that will ruin our reputation.
I offer, Experience in Clan pking. I dont have experience in only WG, I have witnessed and been a part of many pking teams. One being Team Fally, a P2p clan that was a power house in the Falador bussiness, Not Wilderness bussiness because they would be crushed by RoT, AF, etc.
What current issues in WG can you help with as Trial Raid Leader?
The low amount of events in the past few weeks have been making WG seem inactive, I Plan on having at least 2 wars a week, unless something important is going on in the Non PvP Event Calendar.
I also will help Shadow Our Callers if I am not them, I have realised that our Leaders have a hard time on making location calls, I want to have our leaders work on that. The best way to work on that is by hosting raids.
Is there anything coming up in the next 6 months that could make you inactive? I am 15, I can not control my Parents Wishes, but i do plan on being able to make every event that I plan. My parents are a big part of my life because they control what I can do, such as stay up after midnight playing Runescape, or Waking up early in the morning. In the next 6 Months, I have School Track, and Cross Country, but those two sports will only take 2 hours away from me every day, Maximum.
Is there anything else you would like to say?
