What do you have to offer as an Event Leader and makes you more qualified than other people applying for Event Leader?Applying for something, being it a job or a virtual position, it's important not only to know your strong sides, but also the ones you can improve.
This can be attitude, activity, conflict handling and negotiation.
Knowing your weak sides, makes you stronger at handling them, in my point of view.
For example a very weak side of me, is having two jobs - making my time on runescape very limited.
The things I have to offer as an eventleader is a serious attitude, and a open heart to any member, privately and discretely.
Old events <-- Some that have been forgotten, and is now only being done once a year.
In summary, here's what i'd like to offer as an Event Leader.
- Recurring events
- A professional attitude towards everyone
- Making our players better at warring, in a fun way
- Helping people to get money for raid gear
WG needs imaginative Event Leaders, someone who can think up good events. Are you this person and have you thought of any events already? (If so please name and describe them). The category of my events will most likely be focused on two things:
- Making the members of WG richer
- Training basic F2P warring skills
Monster runningNeed combat XP?
Dont need combat XP, but need cash?
Well, here's a nice deal, for both those situations.
A quick example could be Blue Dragons.
Don't you just love killing them, but hate banking them?
Why don't we work in pairs, split the profit.
One person kills, one person banks. - in the end they split the profit.
Quite simple, and quite efficient - if you're too lazy to bank

Another idea could be to work in increments of 4-8
Let's take an example: 6 people kill blue dragons for 1 hour nonstop. - and 2 people collect (Possibly with a BoB)
A blue dragon takes 25 seconds to respawn, and the time killing it will vary - Let's take 50 seconds for 1 blue dragon as an example here:
3600 seconds an hour
3600/50 = 72 dragons per hour
6 people killing = 432 Dragonhides and Bones per hour
Selling the items:
432 Blue Dragon Hides @ 2500gp = 1,08m
432 Dragon Bones @ 6500gp = 2,894m
Total: 3902k
Divided by 7/8 people =
557/487k per hour - per personNot to mention the huge amount of charms the killers will get.
Oh, and combat xp is always good.
Weekly boss huntingThis already excists - why not keep doing it?
Snowball fightsA fun, and easy way to get some cash.
Each player that participates brings 25k to their inventory, and loads the rest with ashes or rune essence.
Mind runes and air staff aswell.
Teaming is of course allowed - Friends is an important thing - loners should realize this.
The idea for this event is either to make two teams, duels, or free for all
- Variation is an important thing when making a recurring event.
Much like the anniversary event.
Last man standing gets the spoils, and a shiny title as the heartless snowman.
This event will take place at either a common F2P war place, or a woody area.
It's not the person with the most friends that will win this event, it's the person who knows how to hug objects that will.
This event will happen once every second week.
Agility events. As said earlier, the focus areas are mainly F2P warring, but that doesn't mean agility doesn't play a huge role in the P2P wars. - Therefore we must train, to run better!
This will be a weekly/monthly event
Is there anything coming up in the next 6 months that could make you inactive?A few weeks in school, in another country. Most likely all of it.
Is there anything else you would like to say?As earlier mentioned in the application post, the position has a tendancy to make players hate you.
I'm already used to this, I was a SuperGameOperator (SGO) on the online browser game called OGame - During this I had to ban people that were my friends - doing this makes the upset. (Yea, really, it does)
One problem with leadership is a tendency to start strong, then fade out into inactivity. Will you promise to uphold your duties continuously throughout your service to the best of your ability?I have no intention on starting out strong, but rather a steady flow of continuous events.
