I'm taking the SAT a second time tomorrow and I'm just wondering that for those who have taken it if you have any suggestions as to how to get the best score possible besides studying and taking practice exams, which I'm doing already.
I took it back in January, but did horrible (1680) and I'm aiming for (hopefully) 700's across the board, or somewhere in the 2000+ range.
I'm pretty strong in math, so as long as I focus and don't get nervous/frustrated I'll be fine there. My main problem is the critical reading and writing sections, in particular the vocabulary and sentence structure parts. I have a lot of trouble with the "find the error in the sentence" where there are sections of the sentence underlined and you're to determine which of the 4 sentence sections is incorrect or if the sentence is fine as it is (selection E). I always have trouble with those, and the vocabulary questions.
I think I'm also set with the essay. I just need to remember to be clear and direct about what I'm saying and use some spiffy words at times.
So, any SAT test taking tips, or some useful hints I could use in my last few hours of studying?
Thanks all.

Don't stress. Best advice I can give.
I can't remember what I got exactly, I want to say a 2080. I never studied for it though, just went in and did the best I could.

Not really stressed, just want to make sure I'm using my study time wisely. Would hate to go over loads of math questions when I can just study the types of math questions that are used on the SAT.
I know that time is a very big factor on the SAT, and that there isn't much of it for each section so I want to find out if there are any ways that I could glaze over some of the questions in order to spend a little more time on the more difficult questions.
I'm sure if I just concentrate and stay calm I could get the scores I want, but knowing some of the test taking tips and hints would just allow me to reach that state of calm more easily than it would normally.
In any case, I'm off to bed.
Oh, and congratz on the Moderator position on RSC Tmal.

look for all answers that have no chance of being correct and only focus on ones that matter.
/hint- Longer answers are usually correct, so is C......
and since when is a 1600 bad? You can get into most collages with that....
I haven't taken either yet but I have taken practices and usually get 1600-1900.
Only advise......try to finish each section..
/me is slow test taker and usually didn't finish the sections.

Get a good day and night of sleep before you take them, be refreshed and in good state of mind. I didn't study or know what half the stuff was on and I got 1980
