Anyone know anything about teeth?

By Xzy 666 on 20/03/2011
Basically I kinda got punched quite a lot of times the other week x] and I'm missing a fair bit of a chuck of one of my wisdom teeth, I havn't had a dentist in about 5 years but I do take care of my teeth. It doesn't hurt and to be honest it feels like a pain in the arse finding a good dentist when I have no phone ;\

Does anyone know if I'd be alright to just forget about it? I know I should get a dentist but please don't post if you're just gonna tell me that, kinda just wondering if i can skip the effort.

Don't you get your wisdom teeth pulled anyway?

Risk it for the biscuit.

well in this case it doesn't really matter how good you cake care of your tooth, since to REALLY take good care of a chipped tooth you'd have be using infection-preveting medication on it all the time. If you don't, you will catch an infection, if you haven't cought one yet. And untreated infection like that could actually have life-threatening consiquences, if not you will be looking at a thousands and thousands of dollars worth treatment which will last for ever. If its not infected yet, you should be ok for a while (a week or 2) but then again, right now it would cost you alot less to get it fixed than to wait for complications.

Your tooth is very vulnerable. I had a chip of tooth knocked out when I was drafted for the navy and it didn't bug me in the beginning. After like 1½ week it hurt like a mofucka.. The treatment for it aren't that hard and expensive.. not way where I'm coming from.. tongue.gif

Yo my sister knocked half a tooth of mine out with a tennis racquet when I was 10 and I turned out ok.
I lied to the dentist and said it didn't hurt hash.png

Not worth messing around. What Bam says is 100% right. I had a friend get his jaw cut out after an infection went into his bone and it was very serious. He lost like 70 lbs and was 6 foot 6 build. They had to wire his jaw shut and he could only eat threw a straw.

Plan on getting it fixed this week if you can get in to a dentist.

Definitely mate. Teeth breaks are not fun and games. Really don't want an infection, they vicious.

My step-dad is a dentist and I'd definitely say you'd need to get them pulled.
