War attendance

By Kevin on 12/04/2011
This was an idea I had brought up with a couple other council members around a week ago, and I would like to know what everyone thinks about it.

It's basically a 'three strikes' system, however it would just be for staff, unknown to everyone else. Basically, whenever somebody doesn't attend a fight, regardless of signup or non-signup, we give them a mark. If they attend a fight, we remove a mark. (Warn levels would still be given for non sign-ups and no-shows if they sihn up as 'yes'.)

If members attend more wars than they don't, they will be fine.

If they ever get to three marks, we can use that along with other factors to determine if they should be kicked/moved to emeritus. This wouldn't be a definite for sure thing, but it would be a good way to measure activity.

This is a very rough idea and it could go multiple different ways.

What is everyone's opinion on implementing something like this?

If this comes into play - i'll be gone after 3/4 wars.... Wars are always at bad days for me :s

That's the one major problem I see with it ... some people's schedules conflict a lot with our war times. But is that something we just have to accept or should we try and send the message that "we're trying to become better at warring, so you best do your best to attend every single war"? It's hard to find a happy medium.

We can't just keep being nice to people and then complain when we don't get the best out of them.

I'm up for it, even if we just implement it to see who is doing what for the time being.

I say just run it for a while without them knowing then. See how it works for say 2 weeks then say we;re implrementing it
