Has anyone here played?
Personally, I have to say I liked the game... But am I the only one who thinks they should've just made another K.O.T.O.R.?
I mean, the graphics were stunning!... Especially when seeing your
cutsomized character interacting naturally with everyone and everything in the cutscenes. The lighting, the ambience... Everything was great.

I'll admit, however... I wasn't completely impressed with the storyline. It wasn't bad - it was actually
pretty good - but I just wasn't satisfied with it.
If you've played K.O.T.O.R. 1 and 2, you know the fun that comes with slicing up enemies with a lightsaber... So much so, that even being (somewhat) turn-based didn't spoil the fun of the battle.

Mass Effect? No melee weapons. Atleast, none that I found.
Just the simple
WHACK! attack with the butt of your gun.
I think they took a gamble. I'm not familiar with the circumstances of their development... But it almost seemed, to me, as if they were trying to mimic Star Wars.
The prime example: The Spectres? Elite fighters that roam the galaxies, dominating with high authority. They're very similar to the Jedi from Star Wars.. With the few differences in concept.
The key difference is that they don't bear signature weapons like the Lightsaber or follow a creed like the Jedi or Sith... Which, I guess for me, was why it didn't seem as epic as it could've been.
Mass Effect was a success... But imagine, in it's high quality, if it were a K.O.T.O.R. game instead.
Any thoughts?
