Well, shit ...

I was already considering stepping down from council come summer time, and now that Randy's gone ahead and posted his two weeks notice, my decision is all but solidified.

I'll be taking Emeritus, and will post my two weeks notice within the next week.

Call it ironic if you wish, that Randy's decision to step down would prompt mine as well, but it's not as crazy as you may think. I, like Randy, am in WG because I want to be a part of our rise in PvP. Now, I may not contribute directly to our PvP growth, but like Randy, it's something I enjoy more than anything else in WG. Regardless of why Randy thinks we will fail in PvP, here is what I know: without Randy as our warlord, it's not even worth it to hope that we will get anywhere this summer or any time afterward. Without a desire to grow in PvP, which is what we will lose when Randy goes, there is nothing that entices me to remain in WG in an active role.

Nobody will be able to fill Randy's shoes. Jayson cannot do it alone, and beside him, WG has nobody that is capable of being a co-warlord.

I don't want to be a part of something that is destined to fail. I don't want to waste my time being a part of something that is destined to fail. My time would be more well spent working on my life, which is much more important than this clan, anyway.

As previously mentioned, prior to Randy's announcement, I was already considering stepping down for council. This is because this summer will be extremely busy for me. I will be traveling a lot: college visits, camping trips, church retreats, and I will be staying with family in Ohio for a one or two weeks. I will also be taking a summer college course, and will hopefully find a job to get some much needed cash. That really wouldn't leave me with much time for council work. I don't want to give WG another 3 months of mediocrity. I have given enough of that in the past few weeks.

I am lost for words.

I respect everything you have done Kevin, and you have served your time.

And you are totally right and filling Randy shoes, I'll be first to admit I don't know whether I can step up and even give it my all and fill them...


Now I worry about who will take these council spots...
