AP Bio and AP Chem

By David on 06/05/2008
Does anyone know where I can find some good last minute bits of information. What I mean is something along the lines of lists of hormones for Biology that are involved in the endocrine system, or the list of constants and equations for Chemistry.

My teacher in Biology is a fucking idiot and is all like "There is no way you're going to know everything on the exam so we should just learn what we can well, and you can use that to help you with the questions you don't know." I agree to an extent, but the fact is he won't even try to even expose us to the rest of the information. He won't teach us, and it's just fucking annoying. He comes to class without ANYTHING prepared and comes up with **** on the spot. I'm literally terrified of this exam because we don't know half the stuff because he doesn't know the stuff himself, and can't teach for his life. This is his first AP class, which isn't something you can hold against him because everyone has to teach their first AP class, but this is also his first high school class. He's a middle school teacher and his first HS class is an AP class? Bullshit.

Sorry about the swearing...but I'm pissed.

Buy the AP Chem and Bio book if you haven't. You still have a week to go over it. Good luck, sorry about your teacher.

seriously, just know the stuff generally and you'll do fine. The AP test is general knowledge on the subject(in the AP area of learning). Just know the basics and cram well w/ a good nights sleep and ull do fine.

Actually whats this "AP" Bio/Chem? I did Pure Bio and Chemistry for A levels in junior college and I still have the stacks of notes user posted image

I remember jotting down some useful sites, I'll let you know if I can find them. Been like 2 years, lol.

I have AP Biology as well. I can't help u a whole lot there but goodluck mate. Btw hormones for endocrine is barely a key part of the test. I would try to know some of the hormones secreted from Ant / Post Pituitary glands and Parathyroid / Thyroid, etc.

i got AP Bio too. monday's gonna blow =/. its actually easy though. my class started doing practice AP exams this week. the multiple choice is all BASIC information. its not in depth really. for each essay, you can get a total of 12 points. as long as you say 12 relevant phrases, you're all set. if it asks about proteins, talk about the 4 levels of structure = 4 points automatically. if it asks about evolution, write about fish->amphibians->reptiles(including birds)-> mammals = 4 points automatically. the practice tests made me realize this test is pretty simple tbh. dont be afraid =P
