Clear the Ban list

Simple, we cant KB anyone anymore because the list is full, im pretty much unbanning random addresses just to kb flamers/spammers

yah so many randomers are joining the lobby and spamming/highlighting everyone. when me and mark talk everyone who joins doesnt and those who do we kick but they come back. we attempt to ban but they come back. so council please do something about it. i dont wanna touch the ban list. ill prob mess it up.

You guys need to spend some time learning how to moderate IRC better. There are many different types of bans: you can ban a certain nick, you can ban a host, or you can ban a channel.

If 5 people from the same channel are spamming the lobby, use a channel ban. If somebody with the same nick keeps coming in over and over again despite banning them, ban their nick.

You can also set modes "m" or "i" on the channel. "m" will prevent anybody without voice from talking, and "i" will prevent people from joining the channel without an invite. These are temporary fixes.

As for the ban list, clear out the ones from the bottom first if there is no room.

I cleared quite a few, it wasnt just 1 clan for you information. It was like the whole clan fucking world had rolled into #wg_lobby.

And yes i did put the channel on invite only for periods of time.

How ever what you asid is irrelevant. We cant do sod all if the list is full. They all go to the same list. I have my scripts for quick bans that refuse to work if the list is full

You guys are free to empty the names on the list as is needed. Like I said, just start with the ones on the bottom first, but keep the channel bans on there.

I myself deleted about 20 or so when I read this topic, so we should be fine for a while.
