Two Weeks Notice

This is one of the toughest decisions of my life. Over the past two months, I have debated internally with myself whether or not to go through with this. I am relieved to say that I have finally reached a decision.

I have decided that all this stuff – RuneScape, clanning, and the stress and responsibilities associated with the two – is not something I want in my life anymore. It is too time consuming, and I no longer see any benefits in spending hours upon hours a day on my computer doing these things.

There are too many goals I want too accomplish, too many places I desire to go, and too many relationships I wish to pursue and build.

There is no room for RuneScape.
There is no time for dealing with clan issues.
There is no drive to be a leader of this legendary clan.

I have enjoyed every moment that I have spent in this clan. It has been a great honor and privilege to serve and help lead this clan for nearly 18 months. However, I will acknowledge that I have had shortcomings, and I apologize for them.

I mean this from the bottom of my heart: I would not trade my experiences with all of you for anything.

Additionally, folks, I implore you to stick with WG and trust the leadership through this new era of the clan. Do whatever you can to help this clan succeed and reattain its rightful place in the clan world. I know that if the dedication and effort is there, it will happen.

Now, I would like to specifically thank a few of you who have greatly impacted my time in WG:
Gene – Thank you for continuing to believe in me and my leadership abilities, even during the times when I was letting you and WG down.
Rachel – Thank you for always being right by my side. You were always there with support whenever I doubted myself, and you were nothing but friendly towards me, even when we did not see eye to eye on certain things.
George – Thank you for being such a wonderful friend, and generally just a wonderful person! I have you to thank for joining WG, as your diplomatic presence in TDM really influenced me and made me hungry for the community that this clan offers.
Vephyrus – Thank you for being a mentor to me during my time as an event leader, and my early days as council. Your advice was invaluable to me, and you helped me more than I think you know.
Kat – Thank you for having such a bright and eccentric personality. Your energy spreads and powers this clan more than you know, and your dedication is top notch.
Garrett – Thank you for always being here for WG. Even when your arm was broken, you did what you could to lift our spirits when WG was going through a tough time. Your quiet leadership was appreciated so much during my time as council, and I wish you the best of luck in your new role.

To every event leader I served with: Thank you for dealing with all of the bullshit I constantly gave you. I truly enjoyed being in staff with every single one of you, and I thank you all for always having my back, as well as each other's.

And finally, though they may not be able to read it, thank you to three of my ex-council mates: Kyle, Randy, and Jayson. You three are simply amazing, and I consider you friends for life.

I intend to fulfill my final two weeks in this clan to the greatest of my ability.

I humbly request Emeritus, so that I may remain a part of this wonderful community.

Understandable. The job you have done and the commitment you gave while under any rank in WG has always been excellent.

Diversity is a good thing to experience early in life. It prepares you for the upcoming things you will experience. I enjoyed being in council with you and was very happy the day the votes came in that the clan choose you. It was a wonderful choice and so well deserved.

Advice to you after working so close would be this. Don't stress over the issues that tommorrow won't matter to much. Choose what is most important to battle over and then don't back down. It is better to have lost a tiny thing then to lose a major issue that will impact you later. (That is not WG related just advice for real life.)

I'm going to miss you. I remember meeting you when you were in TDM. It was pretty exciting when you decided to come to WG. You came as one of our younger members and you have grown up.

I'm not much for goodbye topics or long winded speeches with any kinda of eloquence. I'll just say I was glad to be of some help during your staff position and glad it was a positive thing more than a negative. See you around and hope life treats you fair. Drop in when you can.

Kevin, although we haven't seen eye to eye on a few things I still consider you one of WG's great council.
It saddens me deeply to know that you're stepping down, however, I understand that there are things you want to pursue.
I wish you the best of luck in life and hope that one day you will return to us when you have the time to come back.

I promise, when and if you do come back, you will see a brand new and improved WG.
We will work extra hard to make you proud and to secure the hard work you did for us.

I guess this is farewell for now, I guess I'll see you on the flip side my friend.

Now isn't a good time, but in short, before the proper one, thank you for what you have given and Emeritus - of course.

It sucks to see you leave council but its great to see you staying as emeritus and not disappearing completly. Much respect for doing what you do.

Sorry.... I didn't make it to many of your events.... I always over sleep.
You were a great council member, it must be hard to bear such a heavy burden for such a long time.
