New Event Leaders.

New Event Leaders.

With we only now having two Event Leaders, i am looking for one more to fill my old position.
I have spoke to the other Event Leaders (Wind,Gorge) and Abs. We have decided to Select Three Trial Event leaders with only one going onto the permanant position after two weeks after this period we will select only one who deserves the position.

We have come up with a few names who would be good for the Trial Event Leader position and they are the following;

¤ Indivi2you (My Personal Favourite)
¤ General199 (More Wilderness Based?)
¤ Anatcrafter (Don't see him that much on forums, maybe because of timezones)
¤ Maths (But Going Inactive?)
¤ Zemus (Interested in the position or not?)

Can you please help me with anymore people? Also decide which one's you would like to see as Trial. I am alsoing leaning more towards EST/Aus than GMT as we need to make some more events EST/Aus however you can still suggest GMT members.
These aren't the Final Choices.

Do you all agree on the trial leader position, personally i think it will work well as we will get alot more from the trial Leaders.
I will be making the post sometime in the week about the selected trial's please can you reply soon as possible with your suggestions and opinions.

I do not think Anat is a good choice, he may be very active in game and a very nice person, but I do not feel this would be reflected in a large amount of events hosted by him (have we ever actually had an event by him other than parties for 99's? Just looked back, and he used to hold pyramid plunder event's).

Maths strikes me as somone who would do well to replace karel (who always seems to say "I'm happy to take elite") as a raid leader, he know's allot about the wilderness and is fairly decent level'd.

Zemus is too attached to GWD and his armadyl clan to contribute much, really I dont see him doing anything other than god wars....

General, again I think he deserves a shot

Maybe Zeth? He is coming into his hollidays now? he's always fairly active and he would probably do a good job.

I think randy would do a better job as an event leader too, however I dont know wether he would accept the job now

None of those members you stated will be a good Event Leader apart from Saad.
I also think the Trial Event Leader system should work well.
Although, I advise that you first make an application form and get members who are Guardian+ to apply. This means we'll know who WANTS the position and who doesn't.
This will makes thing easier as we can look at everyone individually and cancel them out and narrow it down to three members.

Right so we should do app's for it then we decide three from our list of applicants? Guess it would work well on terms of whos intrested and what they have to offer. Any ideas when you would like me to run it? Do we all agree on applications?

I think Anat would do well. Zemus and Indi too.
The only problem with giving 3 people trial then one person the rank is that the two who missed out, having tried their best, will feel like they failed and be upset with themselves. Which is what has happened before with the raid leaders.

I don't see a point for Trial Event Leaders... what do they honestly do that is so hard that needs monitoring?

I used a trial system for raid leaders because it's a pretty damn hard job. Leading a clan in battle (or around the wilderness back in the day) is way harder than saying "agility event at this time on this date".

With trial event leaders its a race to see who can make the most events and update the attendance lists in my eyes.

I think we should just run applications, see what they're like then decide wether we will have trials or not.

I think it's quite likely that we wont get applications from Zemus or Anat as neither of them seem really worried about their rank. I can almost gaurantee a pile of unsuitable people will apply, and only one, maybe 2 suitable people will.

So shall we ditch the trial period, make it applications then we decide together on the applications and past expirences who we are choosing?

Only thing about Anatcrafter is, he can slide only two ways, he can make a lot of events and stay active, or he can slip to Rs too much and concentrate too much on a certain 99 Skill, not making many events.

I think if you guys are going choose Anatcrafter, we will need a Trial System.

Other than that, I can rely on Zeth & Saad to do a good job, if the Council is willing to have two more Event Leaders.

We have to look at what we need: we're in cruel lack of non-combat based events, and having as many competent event leaders as we can is a must, even if one is a tad less active than others.

If we assume Saad and Zeth'll do a good job, I don't see harm in making Anatcrafter an event leader as long as he isn't totally inactive, and that he is a minimum competent - the more events the merrier.

As for General, I see for him more of a Raid Leader future, judging by the speed at which he assimilates combat skill.
