Disapointed...
By Karlfischer on 14/05/2008
I really thought that WG was a place where a variety of ideas could be represented. Certainly I did not ever think that we would ban someone for a difference in opinion, but that seems to be just the thing we did with Zhero.
I definitely do not agree with him, and he did have different priorities than most of the clan, but he did not break enough rules to deserve a ban.
Also, why was Colonel's topic closed? If anything, the moderators should delete the offending posts, not close the entire topic. A moderator is justified in closing a topic if the subject of the topic is controversial enough to provoke flaming. This was not the case with Colonel's topic, his topic was perfectly legitimate, and the potential for flaming was clearly from the posts of Zhero and not because of the subject of the topic itself.

I totally understand what your saying Karl, but here is how I see it. He has been disrespectful to current and past leadership, does not listen to leaders when asked(he was asked multiple times to stop flaming FT, instead he kept baiting.) He had no respect for people in wg under level 120 and skilled for fun. He failed to see WG as a Community based clan and then a Skilling and Wilderness clan. He only wanted to see the Wilderness side and everything else was wrong and he was right.
EXAMPLE FROM 1ST SUSPENSION- He said Theevildead2 must not care about WG b/c he was a low combat level and that he did not deserve his previous rank as moderator.
^ That is ONE of his many disrespectful and conceited views that just goes to show he did not understand WG, or try too in the last week or so.
He may not have broken enough rules to be worth of a straight out ban....but don't you think it was pretty much inevitable? Have you been in the mIRC? His negativity has gotten to some members and it is causing way to much drama in WG. He is only a trial member, what would happen if he became a guardian, or higher for that matter. How much more drama would he cause then. Better now then later. NOW, you could say this for many members, but seriously.....his is the worst case I have seen in a while and it needed to stop.
BTW- if I am estimating what his warning level was prior to today, I would guess 60%. I don't think he was planning on changing.

I liked Zhero and the experience and passion he brought with him. Shame he had to go I would have tried to help him.
I don't agree with bannings except as a last resort, but I can see the justification for it.

he was a cool guy when he wasn't ranting on and on, but he just couldn't control himself and watch what he said when he was angry and went a few steps to far each time.
at least thats my opinion.

We have our reasons, Theevildead will be posting more in H & G.

Constant flame baiting, 0 respect for leaders, 0 respect for skillers, constant negativity. He thought that he could lead wars/mini's better, and acted accordingly even though he was only a trial Guardian. If he didn't like the orders or piles called in battle, he would wander off doing what he wanted to do, instead of sticking together. A lot of this has been building up.
Evil will put more information later.
By Karlfischer on 14/05/2008
OK, I will wait to see what Evil has to post then. I agree with what you said Kiwi and Wind, and I really do not think he fit well in WG, however I feel strongly that if we are going to ban someone, it should be because they have some something wrong and not just because we dislike them or their opinions.
Regardless, I think Colonel's topic should be re-opened. It is unfair to give people like Zhero the power to close legitimate topics, especially when his opinions have such little relevance to the original stated goal of the topic.

He was banned after continuous conflict with the leadership of WG, he has argued with every leader he has been to an event under during his short period at WG.
He Flames Continuously in the irc, this was what has resulted in the ban. He came on this morning and flame baited one of our members without any provocation (the member in question was joking around with somone else then Zhero piped up and began flaming).
He has had endless chances, I would say every single leader in this clan has had to deal with him in some way or another, Wind is absolutely correct when she says he was a loose cannon at wars, and we have had a multitude of complaint's about disrespect towards our raid leader's from him.
I didnt want to ban him, I probably look like this came about because he flamed me early on when he joined.... I have only based this ban on his actions since that suspension when he was told to "shape up or leave". I have yet to see any change in his attitude and I doubt we ever would have.
