Hopefully everyone has seen Abs' topic
http://www.wildernessguardians.com/forum/i...?showtopic=2732 but you may be curious to know what it's about.
Some of you may remember Operation Purple Haze from last year which was WG's combat training scheme. Unfortunately OPH was scrapped due to inactivity but hopefully this will prove to be more successful and rewarding.
So what is it?
It is run similar to SotW however there are several small differences. It will be run over a one month period, every month a sign-up list will go up in it's designated forum and those who wish to participate will have several days to do so. There will be 2 skills run every month which will give you a bit of variety and each skill has its own tier for achievement.
What are the tiers?
There are 3 tiers for each skill which are lower, middle and higher. The lower tier is the easiest to achieve and if you do so you will recieve 1 attendance. The middle tier is slightly harder than the lower tier and if you achieve it you will recieve 2 attendance. The higher tier is a lot more difficult and therefore you will recieve 3 attendance if you achieve it. The XP amounts for each skill have been discussed and decided by tertiary and council and will be viewable on the sign-up thread.
What skills are there?
The skills that will be included are the ones which will help us in wars. The skills will be paired against another and will run through a four month cycle. The skill pairs are:
Month 1:
Attack and Agility
Month 2:
Strength and Prayer
Month 3:
Defence and Magic
Month 4:
Range and Hitpoints
FAQ
Q: I'm maxed, what am I supposed to do?
If you're maxed in both skills for that month then you're still welcome to participate, a suggestion would be to mix it up with some slayer training if you're P2P.
Q: I'm F2P, what do I do insted of agility?
Since agility is paired with attack I'd recommend to divert the extra time on it. If training in F2P is too hard we may consider some kind of handicap in the future.
Q: Won't this conflict with the time I'm planning to use for SotW training?
There's time periods when we're not doing SotW and it's run over 1 month so you should be able to find some time to do both.
Q: Do I have to do this?
No, it's optional but remember we've got CWPL fights coming up so why not give yourself some incentive to train?
Q: How am I supposed to train Hitpoints?
Choose a combat skill and train it along side Hitpoints.
