Staff Changes

Alright, Well it's a pretty big Staff Change.
This is all for a purpose, and that purpose is to make the leadership more stronger, active & sustainable.
The Flaw in the Staff right now is that we have 3 brilliant, skilled people in the Moderator section that we are hardly using on the forums.
This is because the 'Moderator' rank lost its usefulness when it changed from Community Leader, clearly the idea of bonding with the clan through events had lost its touch and Event Leaders easily do that =D.
Another weak point we have realised is that we have little Application Managers, and at times they feel a little bit overworked, and a lot of the blame is shunned at them, but that isn't rightly so.
Therefore, after much MUCH consideration (and I do mean that), we are hereby going to delete the Moderator Rank. We are going to move all of the following:
Cameronm123
Zlatan83
Buzzard1985
To the Application Manager Rank, which will now consist of five members:
Bambaleo
Gusmighster
Cameronm123
Zlatan83
Buzzard1985
The benefits:
-Ok, so there's a lot of people in the Application Manager area, but will that really hurt us? We have 2 people that have done this for a long time, and now we have 3 people who have been in Wg for over a year, nearing 2 years I'm sure. We will have more consistent and precise Application Managing thanks to the new system (Scroll down for it) that will be implemented that will not only increase consistency, but it will also relief pressure amongst the Application Managers.
You're thinking what pressure? Trust me, doing Applications can be very repetitive and it is HELL boring. If it wasn't for the persistence of our Application Manager team, I'm sure as hell that this rank would have the title as shortest lifespan. Even Council seem to last longer. You hardly get any credit for doing work as Application Manager, so just try to put yourself into their perspective.

The New Rotary System
Original idea thought of by Gus/Randy.
Basically the idea is that 2-3 App Managers rotate shifts every week or so.
This accomplishes two things:
1. Since we have so many Application Managers, it is a possibility that they will be reliant on each other, if we limit it to about 2-3 Managers, it will mean they know they are the only ones doing the job, giving more encouragement to do Applications.
2. The one week off - Relief for Application Managers. As many things in life, you need a break, it usually gets the job done better. So there were a few problems before with the boringness of the duties of Application Manager.
Since we have 5, someone will be doing double weeks, but this person will rotate round, so that they get the same amount of 'relief' time.
You might be thinking that they will be getting a type of vacation, but no, they will always have stuff to do for example, our new system of moderating the first 5 posts of each Clan Friend will be implemented soon. Don't worry, this 'Moderation' will take about 1-5mins, so it's quite 'Instant'. Although all the Staff can do this, so that we will always have someone Moderating the posts on the forums.

IRC Changes
Every Staff will be Halfop in #Wg apart from Council who will be Admin.
Every Staff apart from the five App Managers will be Halfop in #Wg_Lobby, App Managers will be access 5 (Op without admin powers). This is to reduce the spam/flames we get from our unexpected guests.

Anyway, i think these changes are very well thought out, as i must admit i did find myself wondering on occasions why there was a Moderator rank and what does a Moderator do
Now it says on the tin what they do, as Application managers Best of luck to you all

I don't get why you call this a demotion?
App manager actually has more access than moderator, they get Admin CP access and much more authority (since they now decide who get's into WG or not).
App manager's are basically Moderators with the ability to accept or decline an application, hence this is actually a promotion.

Your right, this is a promotion, however application manager does not really have the title recognition. In function moderators are basically the janitors of the forums--they clean up other people's crap--but you do not call them janitors because their work is important and they deserve a nice respectful title like moderator.
I would recommend either changing application manager title back to moderator, and incorporating application management into the job description of a moderator, or change the name to forum manager as it is much more expansive and accurate title for their various duties.
...haha i sed duty!
