I was at the GE a few hours ago, looking for a desert robe, because I was too lazy to go to the store.

A guy walked by, his name was Crackpot(numbers)

I asked him to buy the robe, he said sure. The end.





4 hours later, my friend Pms me. I message him back, and go on with my buisness. Then he says "Why are you ignoring me?" I was confused, and I saw my message never went through. At the bottom it said "You are muted for 24 hours blah blah blah"

What??

I go onto the offence history and this is what I find:





Sad. I'm mad I get 0.5 blackmarks for something I didn't do purposely.

I think this kind of example deserves a mention in the RS' own forum. Not saying you should but I would like to talk abit about it over there. Will not mention your nick for sure nor do I think a straightforward answer will be given. Just that I think its definitely worth a consideration to have awareness.

I only hope they will realise the carelessness of such judgements will affect good fun play long run. Pmods should be more careful.

I have 3 offenses on my account, all breaking rule one, all saying worse things than that.
And I have a total of .3

That really stinks Randy. But what you need to do is appeal it. You should be able to get it reversed by saying that you were trying to trade that guy for the robe.

Hope you can get it reversed. You dont need black marks on your character.

That's just f'ing ridiculous. Too many people suck up to jagex by reporting, and muting, and it looks like jagex don't even assess it.

Crackpot isn't even a bad word anyway, why would it be muted even if it wasn't someone's name.

I'd appeal it, and if it doesn't work, its pretty damn obvious there's no real customer support. At that stage, try emailing them.

Have you appealed? That's outrageous. If so, send in a complaint to one of their email addresses explaining that if anyone, the person with the offensive name should be banned.

Appeal it Randy it seems like they would have to take those marks off. Just remember you only have one chance to appeal and mostly they are reviewed by computers and not real people so choose your words with that in mind....

I've appealed one of these successfully, as long as you can supply the actual players name in your appeal and they bother to look it up you should be fine and well worth appealing to remove the marks.
