Think your capable to lead?
By Robertw56 on 08/06/2008
Going by yesterdays fight with TR, it got me wondering, we don't have any back up fall in leaders. Fall in leaders play a big role in fights, and if we don't have a line up of capable leaders, we're screwed.
All I need is for you to post if you think you are capable of leading falls in and calling piles. Give me info on previous leadership titles and experience.
Simple enough?
I will gather up the names of people I believe are capable, and at the next war, post it in the Teamspeak description.

I feel capable enough.
My last leadership role was in a small clan 2-3 years ago but I feel that being in RSD I gathered enough experience from F1r3o and Lord Weasley and Vaggerbond that I am comfortable with leading.
By Indivi2you on 08/06/2008
I was thinking the same thing. Besides karel, glenn, you steve, abs, dz... nobody else really did/can lead.
good post.
By bobler2 on 08/06/2008
=/ ive lead before, and im hardly someone who they would expect to be calling piles
but meh only if need be
By JC on 08/06/2008
BTO would do a good job

Yes I see you reading this son....

I think I'd be capable
Last year, there was a trial period for the raid leader position and I was one of the candidates for raid leader. During that period, I found out that I wasnt really ready to be a raid leader. I lacked the confidence, but I feel that I've learned alot over the year. I do remember war where we were crashed and after we regrouped in our new warzone (east of mossies, vents), there were no raid leaders left except for me and maths and I had to step up.
EDIT: Also, it wouldnt be bad for ex-raid leaders to step up if they're in the war
By Anthony69 on 08/06/2008
I should come back to show you noobs how to do things right.
Ps. My advioce, people will pick the positions for themselves.
By Groedius on 08/06/2008
Well i have lead before many moons ago back in Deathrow. Also in old wilderness when we got separated from the main team i have lead in wild guard and on the occasional Aussie raid. So id definitely be willing to give it a go if you need me.
By Tnuac on 08/06/2008
I can always step in if needed. I haven't lead for a good few months, but old habits die hard
By Snowzak on 08/06/2008
If I'm present (rare) I can step up if needed.
By Buzzard1985 on 08/06/2008
If you need me I'm probably always at wars, so yeah ask
By Randy on 08/06/2008
hi, yes. Pretty sure you know what i'm capable of.
By Troll84 on 08/06/2008
I'm more than happy to step into the position should there be necessary need.
Past experience includes: Captain (WarLord) (Before becoming leader of) of a clan (Rampage) with 50 active members averaging 116cmb. Led wars as primary fall-in in both F2P and P2P wars.

only ex-raid leaders/council members should be able to do this. Kthanks.
By Cameronm123 on 08/06/2008
I think id be capable,
I know the tactics, have alot of experience on my side and i would liek to think that the majority of Wg know who i am.
By Kiwi011 on 08/06/2008
Buzz, Karlfisher and bto.
Maybe also- T dwag since hes sadcon, or general to. Idk seriously when it gets down to it. If someone says fall in, just fall in and do what they say.
p.s- If you need a person of last resort I'll do it. Ive done it a few times at pk's/wars in my old clan Tunescape and at at a pk or two in wg. But that was long ago. Basically, I just no how to call a fall in then look for a name and go w on XXX
By Squelchyfish on 08/06/2008
Was a leader of an old arpk clan. Only max of 30 membs though. We once got raped by wg who mistook us for a nameless clan

If you need a back up, pick me, but for now i wont be able to, tesco value mic broke.

Ty Kiwi, but I am better at analyzing war strategy in general than actually leading wars. Knowing what to do in wars is one thing, but actually implementing it is another.
I also hybrid every war, which does not mix well with leading.
Bamb, I have to disagree, the backup fall in leaders can come from really anywhere, however the back up leaders should have good defense, magic, and agility levels, and preferably be snipe or anti-snipe. Ability to communicate effectively on TS is a must.

Oh stop being modest
I remember being lead by you
By Tmal34 on 09/06/2008
I basically never hybrid and have led before.
So I can do it.
By Elyxiatic on 09/06/2008
Hi
A few ppl are really wanking themselves on this topic.
Bto would be the only person I'd pick.
He's probably the most "fresh" out of all of us.

Me as a fall in Leader?
Uh, not yet
By Flame Reece on 09/06/2008
All you need is someone who can type fast and everyone is familar with, should probably have a mic too, the rest of the job is up to the clan to follow this person.

Pfft. I'd rather be led my a fish than a tmart

Glad to see we have a bunch of people who wish to help out

As for me, I think I haven't been in enough fights recently to have the hang of it again.
By Boogers102 on 09/06/2008
I know I am capable, I do it naturally on the Battlefield anyways.
Most of you know how I am in war anyways, my record can speak for itself.
I have led a few of the wars here in WG, and picked up piles and commands as well when people start dropping.
Even in clan wars, I help picking out begining targets and look ahead for the next one.
War For The Win.

(But then a really big contradicting reason why you cant/dont want to do it)
Lol : P

Me.
By Kero2 on 11/06/2008
tbh we should train more people to become back up leaders. So when you see a raid leader dies you instantly know u have a back up. We shouldnt remind people that they have to lead incase. They should know that if they can lead then they'll step when in a instant.
Id say im able to lead but id put down the offer considering i dont have a mic so its harder to call piles and then tank if needed.

Except that there is no "probably should have a mic", the fall in leader needs to have a mic.

pft you just need practise. You'd be teh shit at it. Only problem is one of our best tanks wouldn't be piled till the war was probably decided =/
