Have you got the name of the virus? Checked websites like norton?
There's nothing I can tell you except try different anti-virus/spyware software.

System restoring does nothing to virus'. I'm thinking of writing a full guide on Virus/spyware secuirty for WG members. But for now, I can explain that as I've said to many WG members. Get Avast, install it and do a boot time scan, it will get rid of any virus'/trojans and stuff.
You can get it here:

I'm sorry, but do you really know what you are talking about?
Just because a program has allot of downloads does not mean it is the best, and I can tell you that AVG is possibly the last Anti Virus I would use.
If anything, go to like Ebay or somethign and buy a cheap anti-virus off there (it will be cheaper than a retail store) and use that. Last time I looked for me it was actually cheaper to buy an anti-virus off there than to renew my subscription.
Whatever you do, dont go for norton though because as soon as a subscription runs out it makes your life hell.
Lastly of all, do not forget that an anti-virus on its own does not protect you fully, you want to get hold of some anti-spyware too (spybot search and destroy, or Ad-aware are okay)

Does AVG have a built in firewall? Is it free for a good qaulity? Does it block virus' before they do any damage? Does it do a boot time scan, that infact finds every single virus known to man?
Avast is free because Alwil want to get rid of all vrius' to make the internet safer, they only expect in return, that you maybe recomend their product. I've used AVG, and it was downright shit. I would not recomend it it.

This may be a few days old but i'm still deciding to reply to it. I will make a decent guide on how to get rid of virus' and post it on here, maybe Maddness990 can help if he wants. Each virus is different and practically none can be gotten rid of the same way.
