i hate the robots that they use to do everything

I used to. In RSC they were great. I remember the time where everyone got a personalised responce to questions they asked jagex. How though they just ban/mute anyone for anything.

I do not like Jagex.

I was around back in the early days of RSC, and when I had my account hacked I actually ended up having an email conversation with the now infamous Andrew Gower in an attempt to recover my account and lost items (I was like 12 at the time, what do you expect).

Back in those days everyone got a personalised response to anything, not a bot that says "thankyou for your suggestion" then fowards it on to the trashcan (since when has jagex actually listened to suggestions? lol) of the nice bot which rolls the chance dice to see wether it should let you have your account back even though the message is titled "fuck you jagex".

In all I think they run the game fairly well, there is normally more stuff to do and it doesnt crash too much.

The incident yesterday is ony one of a few times where there has been literally 0 people playing RS< I think I recall one time just under a year ago when this happened as well due to server problems, but really it happens, look how many times WG forums have gone down.... considering the load their servers would be under once a year isnt too bad.

Runescape the game is great, jagex the company, I'm not so sure.

no i don't like jagex for one they make useless updates totally destroyed pking and the worst things they do is muting and banning peoples accounts for stupid reasons

Like JaGeX? HAH. They banned my main account for something I didn't even do, TWICE. Of course I don't like them.

I like and dislike them. The pking thing/unfair trades is for us to blame ourselves. People everyday would complain to jagex about being pjed in a 1v1 at edge or seeing people drop trade to transfer or if they were drop tradeing someone would get some and they would rant about transfering and so on.. jagex just did what alot of people wanted and that was to stop the unfair trades so really id blame the players of runescape for the pking gone not jagex

There are two different sides to Jagex i find, there's the game-side which in my own opinion is pretty good, but on the other side there's Customer Support. Where can i start with them...? They don't listen, the word 'support' shouldnt be in there, as they do no such thing.

Answer for each category:

Customer Support - 'NO'

I think they've done an absolutely fantastic job on the game, to attract such a large audience. They put a lot of devotion into the gameplay, and have become a pretty successful business (and from what it seems, a good bunch of people at the office).

However, their customer support is absimal. They've neglected one of the most, if not the most important factor in a human-fueled game. It seems as though the further they've grown, the less individuals mean to them, which is extremely poor. I've managed to get on for 6 years without any blackmakrs (no idea how, I should've had some ) but I'd hate to have been subject to the unfair and incompetant mutings / bans.

A business relies on its customers to run. It should at least give them the right to have fair treatment. Especially if they're paying you. Its disgraceful.

I guess they do alright. A bit pissed of their neglect towards clans though.

They have terrible customer support, but their game is pretty good. I'm still playing ain't I? :$

..quit rs if you don't like that they're doing....i don't see the point of this topic. Everyone claims they hate Jagex...but they're still spending their every free second with playing a game created by Jagex :/

With the new CEO I think Jagex has taken a turn for the better in a big way.... but they still do have a fair way to go in customer support.

I thank Jagex for what they've done. RS and RSC are great games and I enjoy them. I only wish they would put the players before the money though. That way things like 10/12/07 would never have happened and RS would be a touch better.

It's a 50/50 for me.

Jagex is pathetic; they've invested years in milking a game that could be phenomenal.
