Pest Control Clans

As many people may know, Many members of the Wilderness Guardians are members within other clans such as GWD Clans, PC Clans and Clans Wars Clans.

It has come to my attention that many of these members join the PC clans just in order to leak the world to many of their lower level friends, as you may know this is against PC Clan rules and should NOT be done. Today (16th June, 2008) PCE (Pest Control Elites) and their allies where currently using a world when a Wilderness Guardian member who shall remain nameless logged into the world and began to act in a very disrespectful manner, many of WG's members are also members of PCE and would not like to be incriminated everytime a member of the same Runescape clan joins the same world and game then begins to disrespect them.

The nameless person has acted in a very disrespectful manner and also telling them that he is in the world and leaking to himself and will not give up his source. This is not wanted as many members of WG use PC to train combat and do not want complications everytime they go. This has an effect on us all and after this evening i expect that PCE have lost a little bit of respect because of this members actions.

Myself and a friend (lvl 126) have been Pest Controlling most of the day and when the nameless member began to do what he did incriminated me and this other player as we both have contacts in WG.

I only joined to get void lol.
But yeah, like they were good enough to set up their whole pc worlds/clans + such.
I'd hate for ppl to be leaking the world.

The disrespectful part.. not so much

If the person was there to do PC, and not disrupt... That's one thing. I'll occasionally want to PC, yet I'm too low to join any PC group still. I'll bug a friend or 2 for a good pc world, then stay by the knight the whole time. I don't want to interfere with how they do things. I don't want to disrespect them doing something very nice for me.

Have some courtesy. Go to have fun, not to mess around and insult people. If a friend was nice enough to tell you.... Don't mess them over. This is part of the whole Wilderness Guardians Honor Clan thing.

meh if im pcing I WILL LEAK if someone asks. I don't care really. If a member in my clan needs a world I will give it to him if I am there. I was given worlds before I was lvl 100 so i could train. I will leak them now. Anything I can do to help a member of wg I will do.

Letting low levels / pures in not only spoils it for them, it makes it worse for you too. Especially if they don't even try to kill the portals.

Letting the odd level 90 into a 100+ world isn't too bad, as long as they cooperate and they then don't leak it. Ideally though, the world should be pure.

I remember those days when eckzr did it, he had 25 level 120's and no low-levels. That would've been paradise.

This morning (early, while i was asleep, i've scrolled up to read) in the alliance channel the PC Alliance was issued a warning about WG members. We were warned that WG could possibly be a 'leak clan' (leak clans usually end up being blacklisted from the alliance) and to be cautious when dealing with them.

Since this morning, i've been calming things down in the alliance in regards to us, ensuring this isn't a leak clan, so all those members of WG in any of the alliance teams should now be safe.

It's worth mentioning as we're on this topic that you must really never beg a friend in WG for the Pest Control world. Doing this not only ends up getting the person in question blacklisted from all alliance teams, but now that we're in this situation could cause the entire clan being blacklisted from all teams :\ (Wonder if they'd even kick me )

Like Madd says, if you're in both WG and Retribution/PCE then if you're in Retribution I advise re-reading the rules found here.

I spent quite some time talking to one of the leader's of PCE today to sort this all out.

Guys, I dont do PC so this doesnt really worry me either way, but do not forget if you walk around doing stupid stuff people don't just go "look at that stupid noob" they go "Look at that stupid WG noob". It reflects bedly not only on you, but also on WG.

As mugger has shown above giving the world out to your mates can have wide implications upon everyone in WG.

It's not like the worlds are a sacred place anyways. They are free for anyone to come or go.

I'm not saying leaking is right...but I think it's wrong for clans to "claim" a world, and get pissed if people tell others when the clan had no right to claim it in the first place.

I miss the days were people leaked Zps or whatever they were called and I continued on leak the worlds to all my friends lol, and nobody would caught me.

Leaking is against PC Clan rules because it spoils the game, With people 109+ f2p combat the game goes faster and everyone pitches in, some of the low levels who achieve 100 through summoning get their zeal and don't bother helping out. This causes game losses, which upsets everyone.

You and the pc clan's are judging by their cmb. i see lvl 120s who dont bother closing doors and only be there to get the zeal then afk.

Just wanna say, whoever that "nameless" person is, I hope he reads this and understands what he/she did wrong. Ying is saving whomever it is a lot of trouble by not naming his/her name.

Don't leak, I don't care if its wg or not.
110+ means 110+.
If you don't meet the requirements then train on something else for a while.

I have to fully agree with mugger here.

A pc boat takes 25 ppl.
Now in those 25, if you start to leak, we could have up to 5 <110 cmb.
Now replace those <110 cmb with 110+ cmb people. And at this point I'm not talking about lvl 109 and lvl 110. The difference isn't much. I'm talking about swapping 5 lvl 105's with 5 lvl 117's etc.
The lvl 117's hit better and can tend to afford the higher hitting weapons to go with it.

If you leak and those pc clans find out wg is leaking, why wouldn't they just ban all of us?
In effect, you're not helping wg when wg gets listed as a leaker clan.
This means in the future they might not accept wg members into such pc clans.

Just to be clear, there is no "leaking" issue, just let it go. Its solved. Wg will not be blacklisted from alliance.

A damn shame someone would go and do something like that.

Crucio..this was a warning to WG who might in the future leak this information.

I will never forget how mad I got when someone used Dorcha3377 to join a PC channel to get the worlds on irc, I honestly blew a fuse.

Rules are there for a reason, its not fair to the people who do the right thing.
It is not fair to WG for us all to be labeled as cheaters when it is only a couple who do this.
If you want to do this and be an ass then leave WG, this is tantamount to
NO HONOUR in my opinion.
WG is held to a higher standard, that is what this clan was based on.
Live up the ideals we were founded on or leave, its that simple in my opinion.

Honestly whoever did this deserves a warning.

I have no real stance on this really, I don't do PC because it's waaaaaaay to boring for me. I'd rather kill stuff that drops charms or something.

I'd hate for the world to be leaked, but honestly, I'd probably tell my best friend because...he's my best friend.
