1. Do you have Teamspeak and a microphone? I sure do.

2. What do you think WG needs the most right now in terms of warring?Practace, we only do these occasionaly, not enough i'd say.

3. Do you plan on going inactive within the next four months? No.

4. Why do you want to be a Raid Leader? Because I am a resonabley high combat with alot of leadership skills. I'm good in terms of fighting leadership. I have attended many wars and I'm familiar with all the tactics. I am a [prety good tank and alot of people would have no problem taking orders from me.

5. As a Raid Leader, you'll need to be active, as opposed to passive. What do you plan on doing if promoted?I intend on doing what most other Raid Leaders do; get us a good ammount of minis to let the other raid leaders relax and at the same time satisfy the members that love fighting.

6. What are the qualities you have that make you suited for the job?I am good with tactics, I've been told I speak clearly on ts and I am easily understood. I know alot of clans that would give WG a good fight, some semi-small time and others not.

7. We are in clear need of more hybrids to wars, what can you do to help that out?I will provide everyone with free hybrid gear, minus the runes but I might even create a nature runecrafting event to help provide people with hybriding runes.

8. As time and time goes on, more and more clans are developing new tactics to use in wars. Will you help WG come up with new tactics to lead us to victory? If so, what are they? I would say yes, I led a clan and used many new tactics that gave us a good win against other clans. If promoted, I will share them all with the clan.

1. What timezone are you in?

GMT.

2. Do you have Teamspeak and a microphone?

Yes.

3. What do you think WG needs the most right now in terms of warring?

From my experience in WG's wars, I've noticed that recently we've been severely lacking in binders. I think this is for a variety of reasons, one being the fact that some are afraid of being piled by the opposing clan. Also, some believe it takes up possibly too much inventory space, and possibly don't understand the importance of binding in wars.

Also, i've noticed from the RE war that we're (RELATIVELY) slow on getting on the next pile. Its called quickly but members seem to be slow to respond to the calls.

4. Do you plan on going inactive within the next four months?

During the summer break i'll be taking a one week vacation. Apart from that, i can't see any real period of inactivity until long in the distant future

5. Why do you want to be a Raid Leader?

I believe I'd be able to have a posative effect on the clan's warring ethic. I don't believe Raid leader is about simply the title of 'Raid Leader', i believe it is something entirely different. As a raid leader, you need to be able to inspire the clan as well as ensure everyone knows what to do and when to do it during a war.

6. As a Raid Leader, you'll need to be active, as opposed to passive. What do you plan on doing if promoted?

As a raid leader, i'd hope to be able to suggest a few new tactics into the warring ethic. For example, as i noticed in todays matched opts war vs RE, the anti-snipe unit got removed fairly quickly due to good communication on RE's part. I believe that this resulted in us not being able to bind AT ALL and so we barely scatched them as a whole. To counter-act this, i believe an Anti-Snipe order should be established, and when a primary anti-sniper is killed, they let the 'substitute' anti snipers know so that there's always a full set of anti snipers.

7. What are the qualities you have that make you suited for the job?

Having had over 3 years of war leadership experience in my previous clan, i believe i'd be well suited for Raid Leader. I understand what makes a good pile, i know how to inspire, and i know how to be able to have fun and relax as a method of intergrating with the members, but know when enough is enough, what's appropriate and what's necessary while warring.

8. We are in clear need of more hybrids to wars, what can you do to help that out?

As i think i said above, one method of increasing the numbers willing yo hybrid is by ensuring their safety while doing so. Anti-sniping is key in order to defend our pile, therefore the method i described above should be sufficient in ensuring there's always an Anti-Snipe unit there to protect our Hybrids. If this is done, i believe many more would feel safe to hybrid.

I also don't think the newer members fully understand how important hybriding is. I'd suggest possibly in the applications section a topic which must be read before applying telling the prospective members what we require when warring with us.

9. As time and time goes on, more and more clans are developing new tactics to use in wars. Will you help WG come up with new tactics to lead us to victory? If so, what are they?

Tactics are constantly changing in the clan world. I believe that i would be able to adapt to new challenges and come up with new ways to get more kills and to defend from losing kills.

Aside from my suggested tactic of having an anti-snipe substitute list, i also believe that a decent tactic to impliment would be getting people to spam the Clan Chat once they've died with the current pile and it's location. This would help not just the members who dont have TS, but the members who do actually have it. By having it spammed at the bottom, if the TS call is not fully understood, they could read it below on the RS client.

Also, i believe a leader should be designated on IRC for intelligence which is spotted during the war e.g. hybid names, low food/prays, snipers/anti snipers etc. This would help Leaders come up with the next calls.

Is there anything else you would like to add?

I think i've just about covered all of the bases smile.gif If you have any additional questions you would like to put forward to me i'd be more than happy to give them a shot smile.gif

1. What timezone are you in?
Eastern

[u]2. Do you have Teamspeak and a microphone?
Yes I do have Teamspeak and a microphone.

3. What do you think WG needs the most right now in terms of warring?
Confidence against clans that people see us being the underdogs. We also need more people step up on the binding. I just think that people do not have the confidence to do it right now. I think to give people this confidence is to make more bind/tank practices and to have a good amount of wars for them to use that practice.
Another thing I think we need to improve is our organisation. To many people go off and start their own piles. If we can manage to keep this under control and I think with a few more raid leaders this can be done.

4. Do you plan on going inactive within the next four months?
No I do not plan on going inactive from Wg in the next four months.

5. Why do you want to be a Raid Leader?
I want to be a raid leader because I feel I can continually help and improve the clan. I think that I have the necessary experience to be a Raid Leader but was never able to use it. Also I feel that even if I do start out some what bad. I will not get down on myself and I will always go out and do my best to be better the next time. I also will keep a positive influence on people so that we have a good morale.

6. As a Raid Leader, you'll need to be active, as opposed to passive. What do you plan on doing if promoted?
I plan on continuing to make more Bind/Tank practices. I also will be active on RSC and be in contact with other leaders/war lords of other clans. As you can see I am very forum active and do my best to check the forums several times a day.

7. What are the qualities you have that make you suited for the job?
One quality that I see in myself that stands out the most I think is leadership. I do not like to be a follower and I love to lead by example. I will do my best to not follow what other people are doing. In that I will try to keep Wg from following other clans and us being a leader and standing out in the clan world.

8. We are in clear need of more hybrids to wars, what can you do to help that out?
Giving people the experience and confidence to bind. The biggest thing is having the confidence to stand out there with robes and not be scared of snipers. I think that keep on hosting Bind/Tank practices more and more people will continue to come and gain the confidence to bind in a real war.

9. As time and time goes on, more and more clans are developing new tactics to use in wars. Will you help WG come up with new tactics to lead us to victory? If so, what are they?
A tactic in my mind that sticks out the most is when the opposing clans fall in leader calls a fall in, we have everyone switch piles to that fall in leader. I have seen this work out GREAT. While in RSD and fighting in run ins. Opposing clans that we fought typically would switch their pile straight to our fall in leader. This would cause great confusion and pretty much ruin our pile. I think we can use this to our advantage and mess up some piles.

Is there anything else you would like to add?
Thank you for giving me this great opportunity at a leadership role in this clan.

1. What timezone are you in?
Eastern.

2. Do you have Teamspeak and a microphone?
Yes, I do, I have both.

3. What do you think WG needs the most right now in terms of warring?
We need more people with infinite run, we need to raise the amount of people that come to wars hybriding. Also I think that more people need to spend some time at FoG getting the "new" rune armor.

4. Do you plan on going inactive within the next four months?
No, I have college in the Fall, but my schedule is going to be more flexible because I won't be working as much.

5. Why do you want to be a Raid Leader?
I want to be a Raid Leader, because I love to war. Warring, and Pking is the main reason why I still play runescape. I believe that I am a naturally leader, and you can tell just by listening to me on TS, I'll help find targets, and spot the other clans hybrids. It's just something I naturally do, so whether or not I get the title it's still in my blood.

6. As a Raid Leader, you'll need to be active, as opposed to passive. What do you plan on doing if promoted?
Well the main thing I have to do is get my availability for work changed. It has proved difficult for me to show up to some wars simply because I am a supervisor, and they like me to work. So balancing my work schedule, along with my school schedule is what I'll be working on. One of the benefits of that though Is that I do have spare time, to search for fights, set up wars, etc.

7. What are the qualities you have that make you suited for the job?
Besides being a natural born leader, I have previously led a smaller clan that I made and brought up. I have experience in leading raids in WG as well. Also I was co-leader of the original WG p2p team. (Good times) I have a good personality, and I am a good listener. Finally I have a strong hand, I can be firm in situations that call for it, or your best freind. I think these are the qualities that should best fit a raid leader.

8. We are in clear need of more hybrids to wars, what can you do to help that out?
I think with WG, we have to lead by example, it's much more than just saying "hybrid bitches we need it hash.png" I think the advantages of being a new raid leader is all the other clans don't know we are, and we can lead by example by hybriding. Another idea I have, is I can personally reach out to the people that are going to wars, and have a 1on1 discussion, talk to them and find out why they dont hybrid, do 1on1 practice in BH or something, make connections with the clan to make it stronger, i've done it before and it really does make the clan stronger then just barking orders at them.

[u]9. As time and time goes on, more and more clans are developing new tactics to use in wars. Will you help WG come up with new tactics to lead us to victory? If so, what are they?
Oh, Trying to leach ideas off the applicants eh? Lol. Well obviously we need to get everyone with infinite run, the more people we have with it, can make a crap load of difference. With WG becoming a higher leveled clan, we need to sharpen the sword by getting us all the best warring gear possible for f2p. This would be all the rune armor, and druidic gear. There are people that still don't have those. (Some more FoG events possibly?) I can see I have a lot of research to do, on new possible war tactics in CWA, but being a good raid leader, you never stop doing this research. So it's something i'm willing to accept.

[u]Is there anything else you would like to add?
Yes, I think I need to add hash.pnghash.pnghash.pnghash.png. I am offering to make life changes for the clan. I still have to work in order to pay for bills, but I am willing to give up my extra pay to fit time in for WG. and If not becoming a full on raid leader, I can still help by doing things behind the scenes. Basically I want to add something to Runescape do make it more interesting again. Being an active raid leader would definetly give me extra things to do.

Thank you for your time. smile.gif

2. Do you have Teamspeak and a microphone?
Yes

3. What do you think WG needs the most right now in terms of warring?
Over the past few months our recruitment has provided us with the numbers and levels required to win large fights. However our organization lets us down so that will be my priority.
4. Do you plan on going inactive within the next four months?
No

5. Why do you want to be a Raid Leader?
Runescape combat has always been the most enjoyable aspect of the game for me.
As council i found i barely got to lead, which sucked because this is where my skill is at.

6. As a Raid Leader, you'll need to be active, as opposed to passive. What do you plan on doing if promoted?
I'm currently setting up a P2P Bounty Hunter team for the members of WG that enjoy P2P BH. This rank would enable me to manage things much more smoothly. The majority of my energies would be focused upon maintaining a high level of organization. Recruitment is towards the bottom of my list of priorities right now as we have the numbers already.

We need more P2P wars.

7. What are the qualities you have that make you suited for the job?
I believe i have more leading experience than any other applicant.
I've been leading pks since late 05.
I am most probably the most skilled p2p pker in WG. WG does not have a P2P raid leader.

8. We are in clear need of more hybrids to wars, what can you do to help that out?
This comes under the category of organization once again. Members will be encouraged to obtain the new mage robes for binding using special FoG events.
Spot-checks for bind gear before wars will be more frequent and binding will be mandatory for all seasoned fighters not expecting to snipe/lead/antisnipe.

[u]9. As time and time goes on, more and more clans are developing new tactics to use in wars. Will you help WG come up with new tactics to lead us to victory? If so, what are they?
Of course.
Developing tactics comes naturally as a P2P combat based leader. In 06 I found a spot in P2P Multi that could be used to attack from, but not be hit back in. It could have been used in a P2P war, I was actually saving it for just that occasion. Nobody knew, just me and Kenshln found it, as we used to go into deep p2p multi together all the time testing new places out. It's still never been used and never will be since the old wilderness was removed.

Simple things such as stepping around the wall before a binded person can run around it to prevent them running off need to be shown to our members. I can do that.

[u]Is there anything else you would like to add?
Lectures and practice events aimed at preparing members for every eventuality during wars will be a weekly occurrence. Last week our members didn't have a clue when RE charged without warning. They need to learn to stay composed and what to do in similar situations.

Thats pretty much it. I ask that my application isn't judged with bias based upon how I left council. Mistakes were made theres nothing i can do about it but say sorry. If that's going to be used as an excuse then there was no point letting me apply in the first place; and i asked permission beforehand.

1. What timezone are you in?
Australian Eastern Standard Time.

2. Do you have Teamspeak and a microphone?
Yes, I do.

3. What do you think WG needs the most right now in terms of warring?
Most definatly i think we need EVERYONE who comes to a war to hybrid. The last war i went to, not in premier league, we got brought to about 20 people left and only 2 or 3 people were hybriding, and they were catching up to us. More hybriders mean they run less and we can ko the other clan faster.

Also piling can do with a touch up, such us other piles being called by random people, people not staying on main pile. Yes, i also realise what stoke's idea was had some truth behind it, but if we get 60 people sticking onto the one person, no doubt that person should get koed.

4. Do you plan on going inactive within the next four months?
I may be slightly inactive for maybe a week, depending on when my mother goes into hospital. Also i have to go to my dads every fortnight, this means i will miss many wars, putting me not as good as the other candidates, and i would agree in you choosing other people for more activeness. But i am very active, many times waking up in the middle of the night to early morning for events and wars. And i think most people who are on around australian times would agree i am very active, on every day of the week except two days a fortnight.

5. Why do you want to be a Raid Leader?
I have always had a passion for wanting to lead a large group of people out into a war. I love also that people have turned a computer game fight, into a tactical, thinking war. I love to think "what is their weakness, where are they struggling, what can we do to exploit this, what are we doing wrong". I think quick on my toes, and come up with solutions when needed.

6. As a Raid Leader, you'll need to be active, as opposed to passive. What do you plan on doing if promoted?
Definatly spend all my time training combat until maxed, then getting best armor and items for warring. Also i will go out and buy a better headset for better talking on teamspeak. Also i shall see about getting internet at my fathers house so i can go on there too when needed.

7. What are the qualities you have that make you suited for the job?
Im smart, tactical, quick thinking and a problem solver. If i do get chosen to be a warlord, i know i will definatly study tactics alot more, watch videos of clans fighting, study how they go right, and how they go wrong, and what makes a clan 'unbeatable'.

8. We are in clear need of more hybrids to wars, what can you do to help that out?
Organise more FOG trips at all times. Group FOG trips is good practice for hugging, and tanking (slight) more for hugging, and also you can get tokens for druidic, rune beserker shield and rune guantlets. Therrefore nobody has a reason to not be in the best gear possible.

Also maybe a reward for hybriding at a streak of wars possibly? Like 30k for every 3 wars in a row?

9. As time and time goes on, more and more clans are developing new tactics to use in wars. Will you help WG come up with new tactics to lead us to victory? If so, what are they?
Definatly, as said before, i would spend most my time while training watching videos of wars, especially now while clan priemier league is on, all of the clans who we will fight agaisnt will most likely be fighting now, so we can get a good idea about what they are strong at, and what they are bad at, and then we can abuse their weakness.

Is there anything else you would like to add?
I hope you guys pick the best person to be raid leader. And hope we win in the upcomming war against mori.

Yes

3. What do you think WG needs the most right now in terms of warring?

I think WG needs experience, discipline, and organization. We’ve been doing well since last year’s problems, but lately we’ve been performing sluggish. I know that we have the numbers, levels, and potential to become much better.

Currently, there is only really a “core” group of members. They show up every war, they never get Koed, and they always perform their best. This group basically makes up the majority of our matched options fight. They’re kind of our “elite.”

However, until recently, the majority of lower levels that have been always cut from matched options are stuck fighting in CWPL fights with little to no experience. Here’s a log of what happened in the RE vs WG matched options war based off my recording:

Initial charge at 00:55
1:23 – First RE member falls. 41-42
1:35 – First WG member falls. 40-41
2:03 – Another RE member dropped. 40-40
2:03 - 2nd WG member dead. 39-40
2:12 – WG member koed 38-40
2:31 – WG member dead 37-40
2:56 – WG member dead 36-40
3:24 – WG member dead. 35-40
3:27 – WG member koed. 34-40
3:28 – RE member dead. 34-39
3:44 – WG member dead. 33-39
3:52 – RE member dead. 33-38
4:05 – WG member dead. 32-38
4:22 – WG member dead. 31-38
4:31 – WG member koed. 30-38
4:42 – WG member koed. 29-38
5:24 – WG member dead. 28-38
5:36 – WG member koed. 27-38
5:51 – WG member dead. 26-38
6:10 – WG member dead. 25-38
6:15 – RE member finally downed.25-37
6:21 – WG member koed. 24-37
6:38 – WG member downed. 23-37
7:19 – RE member dead 23-36
8:28 – WG member downed 22-36 – Tanked for nearly 25% of the total time tanked by HALF the clan
8:55 – WG member downed. 21-36
9:29 – I die, clip ends

Practices are not working well enough. If you look at the attendance for these practices, the majority of the people who show up are the same people that always show up, and that can tank. The people that need the practice the most rarely show up.

The second problem is something that only prevents WG from going higher. People are running off fighting 1 on 1s. Check how long it takes to get a simple fall-in or DD in a war. Count how many people are still on our last pile when we want a fall-in to congratulate the losing clan on a hard fought fight. These things aren’t as critical to our success or as significant, but it leads up to my plain explained later.

Much of WG’s recent organizational problems are attributed to a lack of experience, so that will be the most important goal for now.

4. Do you plan on going inactive within the next four months?

Nope, summer break. During the summer, I’m being forced to attend a “Summer Sonata” program to “enhance my piano learning experience”. The program is 10 days long, starting July 7th and ending July 17th. Everyday for that program, I’ll be at the conservatory from 8:30-4:00 EST.

5. Why do you want to be a Raid Leader?

When applications went out, I didn’t really want to become a raid leader. A couple of people pressured me to apply, but I wasn’t really interested. I remembered my trial period months ago. It was a tough job, and leaders are often under constant criticism. However, when General was unable to host his regular bind/tanking practice and he asked me to host it, I realized something.

I want to be able to help more. After that event ended, I had great feeling of happiness knowing that I helped out. A trial member that was selected to tank first failed to tank well, so I made him try again. Second time, he got forgot to put on protect prayer and got Koed. After letting other people try, I told him to try again and he was able to tank much better then he did before. Just knowing that I helped someone made me happy.

During my experience as a trial leader, I realized how much work is put in and how hard it actually is. Many people take it for granted. I realized my own weaknesses and my appreciation for leaders increased.

As a member, I know that leaders don’t spot some of the things regular members say. I know I can help out, and I want to help. Since then, I have learned a lot as a member and a spectator.

6. As a Raid Leader, you'll need to be active, as opposed to passive. What do you plan on doing if promoted?

Experience

Like I said earlier, practice events are only working to an extent. As a raid leader, I plan to try to make our inexperienced experienced. First off, I plan to increase skill and organization. I plan on creating tanking practices, hybriding practice, etc. Secondly, I want to try to make all WG have the same mentality.

As part of my plan, I plan to make a weekly practice event, and with the help of other leaders, maybe 2. All members must attend a certain amount of these practices per month. Trial members must attend several of these practices before graduating.

I have several ideas for increasing WG’s warring skill as a whole. Firstly, I will try to contact our allies for practice wars. Our current practice wars don’t do much- How hard is it to tank 10 people? By having our allies participate, we can get the numbers needed to make the practice realistic and build our relationship with our allies.

If we cannot make plans with our allies, we can have a intra-clan using p2p to help train us. We can host a regular tank practice with f2p, while having maybe one person with a godsword or another high damaging weapon to follow the tank (to stay hidden, to surprise). This person would simulate another clan and spontaneously attack a hybrid. The hybrid must manage to recover fully before the person switches targets.

In this practice, all members go with no armor (maybe several pieces, depending on the number of participants). They are ONLY allowed to put on armour if they’re being piled. This would simulate a real situation, where hybrids are constantly picked out for piles. If the number of participants are low, we’ll have the practice with less pieces of armour, and possibly move to p2p since there’s less people in the “KO” unit.

As for hybriding practice, there can be a single target with multiple WG on the other team. They will all be hybriding with no weapons. The targets job is to lap the arena as many times as possible, and the hybrid’s jobs will be to slow him down. The round will end when they person runs out of energy. To make it even more interesting, there can be a “KO” unit on the targets team that tries to ko people. They will be following the hybrids, and will randomly attack one of them to try to get a ko. Their purpose wont be sniping, but rather trying to get a Ko.

Discipline and Organization

When I say mentality, I mean I want to try to make everyone know what to do after everything, and everyone will do this when _____ happens. This includes not spreading after a pile. Constantly looking for fall-in leaders after a pile. Increasing personal war awareness. Stuff like that.

I can’t really think of a way to train people’s minds, but some things just come through experience. After being yelled the 3rd time for spreading or something, people will remember. We could try having 2 teams where the leaders constantly pile switch to get Kos. People will be forced to be alert the entire time while fighting in a chaotic situation similar to a real war. People must also be alert when switching piles. Hopefully, this awareness will carry on to the next war.

Some of the practices will be dependent on listening to leaders. This includes stuff like getting in a DD quickly, spreading out for a death march, or even fall ins. Some of these things should be able to go much faster. Even though these formations aren’t as crucial in a war, I believe that the listening skills will carry on to other commands. I also plan on bringing back the old pile switch technique.

If this is successful, people will really become danger-aware and WG will have a new useful tactic in our arsenal. It would probably be the most difficult to pull off, but also the most rewarding if it works out.

7. What are the qualities you have that make you suited for the job?

Since my last trial period, I have changed a lot as a person. I realized this when I had to lead near the end of the full out when Zlat was killed. My confidence has grown over the last couple of months, and so has my experience. I believe I have the dedication and will to succeed.

I am always open to discussion. If a member is frustrated about something, I will be willing to talk anytime. I rarely lose my temper, and I try to keep the peace.

I’ve had experience in my own personal lure team in the old wilderness. We didn’t have teamspeak back then. Everything depended on communication and reflexes. One small mistake in communication and the lure was over. Luring wasn’t an easy job; most people knew about luring spots, but it was still possible to deceive. If we couldn’t lure the target to the multi-zone area, we’d switch spots to another nearby multi-zone. We needed to be careful, fast, and efficient.

I’m also creative and imaginative. Even before I joined WG, we would always have to be creative with how we lured people, and how we approached. We would always try new luring.

8. We are in clear need of more hybrids to wars, what can you do to help that out?

There are several common excuses for not hybriding:
- No experience
- No gear/runes
- Fear
- “Don’t feel like it”

First off, for practice wars, I will make it mandatory that all members hybrid. No exceptions. I’ll have extra hybriding sets and runes available for the practices. Like stated above, there will be weekly practices and members must attend a certain amount per month. These practices will also include hybriding.

I believe Randy suggested an idea where a ____ level hybrid prioritizes over a ____ non-hybrid. I’d use this idea to force higher levels to hybrid. Of course, arguably, a 125 will have priority over a 105 hybrid, but the level range would not be too big.

With more experience, and am extra incentive for everyone to hybrid, I think it should solve our hybriding problem.

9. As time and time goes on, more and more clans are developing new tactics to use in wars. Will you help WG come up with new tactics to lead us to victory? If so, what are they?

In my personal opinion, the most important forces are snipers and hybrids. We should try out best to ruin their sniper and hybriding ability while ensuring ours is in perfect condition.

Snipers

A large group of snipers (maybe 5-10) disrupt enemy hybrids as much as possible, even if it means death. They will be under constant attack, and should not run unless the enemy switches to them. Hybrids will be under constant attack, and wont be able to bind. Soon, after our tank drags them around the arena for the 3rd time, panic will seep in and enemy hybrids will be panicked. At the same time, the anti-snipe should be completely unstoppable. Maybe even 10 people. However, because of the large amount of anti-snipers, the numbers of hybrids must be really high to ensure the enemy does not sneak away while a large portion of the clan is anti-sniping. This would be devastating with infinite run.

We already use this, but I think we could take it up a notch. Instead of disrupting the enemy piles, we aim to completely shut down their hybriding machine. If they switch piles to a sniper, the other snipers continue to attack. We’d need a large group of snipers for this.

Potential problems
-Screwed if enemy hybriding isn’t completely disrupted
-Loss of snipers, may need to be replaced.
-Main piles not as strong
-Depends on panic and chaos

Pile-switching

Hasn’t been used by WG in ages, but can be devastating if WG is trained to do it well.

Potential problems
-Too many pile switches = GG
-Potential disorganization

Scouting

We’ve learned off the RE war.
This basically gathers information about the enemy. We send a sniper to gather some information on the most important roles. Anti-snipers. Leaders. WG then tries to take out as many anti-snipers as possible, and as early as possible. Once these anti-snipers are dead, WG’s snipers will wreck the enemy hybrids and disrupt piling.

Potential problems
-Possible communication problems
-Spent time trying to find target
-If they have replacement anti-snipers

Baiting

Probably already used higher up. Gather our best tanks to attempt to get piled by trying to snipe their leaders during a fall-in, binding their fall-in leader, or standing right beside a pile.

Potential problems
-Losing strong attackers and tanks

Ko unit

I’ve been keeping this one in the back of my head for a while. Don’t think this has been used before. Basically, every WG member brings a R2h. Only when we’re making a new pile, we use the R2hs on the first hit. There are fairly good odds that people hit relatively high. This would probably be completely useless against a person with rune on, and only be useful trying to KO a hybrid.
To increase chances, people can also turn on incredible reflexes.

Potential problems
-waste of prayer
-Time wasted telling people to take out 2hs
-waste of inventory space
-people forgetting to turn off prayer
-people forget to switch
-hybrids don’t have shield defense with 2h

Mass binding

Towards the end of the war, we assign maybe 2 hybrids to mass bind everyone on their team. These hybrids should be high leveled. If the enemy piles our mass-binders, they’re in for a long ride. If the enemy chooses to ignore them, they will become disorganized and delayed. The enemy could send a few snipers to counter this. In this case, the hybrids would just return to the main pile. If the snipers follows, they’ll be hit be our antisnipe. Once the snipers are gone, the hybrids return and continue harassing their pile.

GMT

2. Do you have Teamspeak and a microphone?

Yes

3. What do you think WG needs the most right now in terms of warring?

4. Do you plan on going inactive within the next four months?

I go away for 2 weeks in august but that is all.

5. Why do you want to be a Raid Leader?

Id like to be a raid leader because i enjoy raids with WG sometimes it will be all i log on to do, and id like to offer my experience in raiding to the clan to help us get better.

6. As a Raid Leader, you'll need to be active, as opposed to passive. What do you plan on doing if promoted?

I plan on coming up with new ideas and suggestions that have not been tried before to help lead us to victory.

7. What are the qualities you have that make you suited for the job?

The qualities i have that make me suited for the job is i am very active, know many members well and will take ideas and suggestions from others and implement them. I have also lead before.

8. We are in clear need of more hybrids to wars, what can you do to help that out?

Encourage more people to hybrid in wars and hold more practices so that people can learn how to do it and get better at it.

9. As time and time goes on, more and more clans are developing new tactics to use in wars. Will you help WG come up with new tactics to lead us to victory? If so, what are they?

New tactics that could be employed to help WG to victory are : 1. We should aim for around 80 - 90 % hybrids, Set up a good designated anti snipe team. get more efficient at switching piles trying to minimize fall ins for this we will need to get everybody on TS.

1. What timezone are you in? GMT-7, MTN timezone.

2. Do you have Teamspeak and a microphone?Yes, but I can't really use the mic.

3. What do you think WG needs the most right now in terms of warring? Everyone hybriding and 10 snipers in fullout wars with all hybrids not in hybrid gear at the time, in rune as anti snipe.

4. Do you plan on going inactive within the next four months?
No, but I will be working 15+hr weeks, and mainly Weekends. =/

5. Why do you want to be a Raid Leader?
To gain some experience, help out wg, and do more for wg.
6. As a Raid Leader, you'll need to be active, as opposed to passive. What do you plan on doing if promoted?
Working on getting us wars the days I have off and around 3 wars during the week to work on stuff we are struggling at, short prep's mainly.

7. What are the qualities you have that make you suited for the job?
I am pretty sure most people respect me(well I think they do, idk) and I(after hearing lordy talk about not getting pushed around) plan on giving no ground on wars if I do an official. I also like to learn from losses and get better at whats going on.

8. We are in clear need of more hybrids to wars, what can you do to help that out? Mandatory Hybriding at Wars for people with over 80 magic and 110+cmb/85def+??? who aren't sniping/council/leaders. They post a screnny in forums of them at the start of cwa w/ hybrid gear in invy.(something along those lines)

9. As time and time goes on, more and more clans are developing new tactics to use in wars. Will you help WG come up with new tactics to lead us to victory? If so, what are they?Yes I will, right now all I can think of is if we attack-Do what re did to us, or do that and split the opts and attack from both sides for a quick confusion(ex-say you and rob are both there, u get half opts, rob gets half opts 'maybe lowest opts' rob gives a name to everyone*note-dz is not in visible screen of opponents* and rob pulls back, *note-you both are on opposite sides of arena, enemy sw most barrier and ur off screen west, rob is off screen east* then dz side attacks b/c they think ur on the other side and about 5-10 seconds after dz side rushes, rob side rushes also) did that make since/work?
if we defend though, we deathdance or do a 3x3.

Is there anything else you would like to add?
I don't no If i am allowed to play rs still, and I am not going to ask parents, if I use a mic they would see me and who knows what would happen, but I am willing to try. However, If we need a backup leader because all leaders are dead, I'll be happy to be a backup and call names in rs.
I also will be working a lot on weekends b/c of my job at Albertsons is mainly a weekend job.

Crucio01 also applied, but 1) He is only a trial guardian 2) lets get real

I'll put my thoughts on post 2

Well, this is a very good group of applicants.

First off, how many do you think we should promote. I say at least three, if not four. I don't see a harm in promoting as many up to four, we can always use more fall in leaders in wars. Plus with four more, that gives us a total of seven, however Glenn is currently away and Karel is very inactive, he is considering stepping down but if he doesn't pick it up we will just demote him.

Second, who are your top picks?

I have already eliminated:
Groedius (most wars he asks the most annoying things ever, has a bad temper, would not be good with power IMO)

Kiwi (hes pretty active but I can't see him being a raid leader, in his app he said he would be busy most weekends, when we need them most)

Jadi (honestly never seen him do anything promising as a raid leader, I know hes aussie and that would be a plus but he doesn't seem very skilled and the leading type)

Maddness (too inactive, it was only a few weeks ago that he made a huge scene out of us having too many wars and how he wants more skill events, yet he applies for raid leader? :\)

So after my cuts that leaves Mugger, Boogers, General, Stoke, BTO left. I honestly think all five of these people can do a good job.

However there is something we have to consider, Steve. Look at what he said at the end of his application. Do we actually consider him for the rank or not?

I really don't want to have to cut any of these five people, all will do a really good job.

Mugger and Boogers have already shown me their leading abilities in the interclan war, both did a great job and nothing I can say bad about them really.

General has already made plenty of bind and tank practice events which is really great, thats exactly what we need. I like seeing that initiative.

BTO is definatly capable, if you remember two raid leader apps ago when we had 'trial raid leaders' he was one of them and did a great job, just lost because I believe the winners were Rob and Cody. He also had the best application for sure. You can tell he actually put effort into it.

We all know that Steve can lead, just a matter of deciding if we want to give him the spot or not.

Halp plz.

My shortlist is exactly the same as youres Dezee...

I think we need no more than 3 new raid leaders.

Personally I think these 3 are the best candidates:

Back To Own- Possibly the best application for a leadership position I have seen in a long time, we know he has experience and definitely has earnt the position of raid leader.

That application would be enough for me to vote him for council, let alone raid leader hash.png

Mugger84- He's got a very decent combat, he has experience to back that up.

General199- Shit application if I'm honest, I wasnt impressed. However he has shown that he has skills in both training and war leadership previously and that alone is enough for him to get raid leader.

If we want a fourth:

Boogers102- I know he has probably the best credentials of the applicants above having been a WG raid leader beforehand, however he left on bad terms last time and I am not convinced he will be staying long term yet.

Last Option:

Stokenut- Let me see, he left council on very bad terms by deleting his account. It would look like a huge bout of favouritism to turn around, barely a week later.

The only positive I can see for steve is he would bring allot more p2p warring/events into WG.

The List:

Maddness990
Mugger84
General199
Boogers102
Stokenut
Jadi Simondz
Back To Own
Groedius
Kiwi011

I'm going to narrow it down:

Maddness990
Mugger84
General199
Boogers102
Stokenut
Jadi Simondz
Back To Own
Groedius
Kiwi011

Which leaves us with:

Back To Own
Mugger84
General199
Boogers102
Stokenut

BTO - Perfect, one of my top choices
Mugger - Yes, Lovely, with training, he'd do really well
General - Excellent, tanking sessions going, will do very well

Jon - A Tad too soon, inactivity.
Stoke - No, It would look bad on our part.

So I'd say, talk to Karel, get him to resign.
Appoint those three.
And the only thing I'm worried about is how to train Mugger really, do we need a Trial system, I don't think we do.

I await Dales input, then I am asking Rob as I said I would ask the current raid leaders for their input as well.

By Dalejamesw on 20/06/2008
Well we spoke last night DZ and im going to narrow it down to three after hard thinking. Very tough as you know.

BTO
General
Mugger

I agree with Abs Jon only just came out of inactivity, maybe next time.
and with Stokenut, he can lead but the way he left No.

Rob wants Stoke, General, BTO.

Looks like none of us really want Steve to get it but what is our exact answer for nothing giving him the rank?

The exact reason is that he broke the 2 weeks contracted that he signed up for when he applied for Council.

Basically, I don't want him to return to power as of yet.
It'll look bad on us if we accept him as when he broke the two weeks, we were supposed to ban him forever, but instead we welcomed him back.
