22nd June 2007.
That was when I was accepted into wg as a trial guardian.
A whole year as wg, it just hit me last night.
What a journey I have made.
This post is just a reflection.
Just highlighting the big events in wg which I was a part of.
I'll include my personal thoughts in this, with pictures.
The Aussie RaidsAh, yes the aussie raids.
Massing at the monastery, in edge getting the prayer bonus before we went on the raids. I always hybrided, it was fun practicing the basic hybriding skills on these raids. I remember being led by snowzak, dz too I think. The oldskool aussie raiders - jrm and raging mage. They were at a lot of those raids that we went on.
I remember when the attendance started to drop as well. At one point the fighting memberlist had little over 40 members on it. We only pulled about 6 people to an aussie raid lol.
I remember also losing a whip on a p2p raid once, not an aussie one, but I called a quick fall in + forgot to put protect prayer on lol.
F2p Eos WarWell, they introduced the skilling section when I was accepted into wg. So I was accepted as a skilling guardian. I trained so hard to attend the eos war, 90-->99 in a little under 2 weeks. However, I fell 1 lvl short to attend the war. However, I turned up to the mass, and one of the council told me to gear up. I was so pleased.
I survived through 2/5 of that war.
My first war.
Skill of the WeekI remember gorgemaster came, and I think he started up these skill of the weeks.
They were highly fun and gave some good reason to actually train a skill. I remember tied in with these there were one or two "skill lectures" the first being on how to train agility effectively. I think meeting smileyrose for the first time set off something inside of me to get that 99 agility cape.
The Rhk + Mori warsI have to say I liked the Mori war the best, it was one of the first times where I got a taste of tanking effectively. I was 93 agility, 88 defence, and I was piled and tanked from the west rock to the east, and back again. It was about a minute long tank, against 30 or so mori.
I also remember dz charging in that war, burying a bone + shouting "I am darkzero101 and I just got 125 cmb"
The Mithril DragonsI started killing these a few months after they came out, and I heard of the dragon full helm they dropped.
It took 483 kills to get one with the chewed bones.
My bank tripled instantly.
I spammed the irc so hard i got kicked 2 or 3 times

.
The wg anniversary partyI remember this, it was one of the first times where I saw a lot of wg come together and celebrate another year.
The photo shoot, the 20 mil f2p drop party, the firefest, the veterans war, were all events I attended. A very good time to celebrate it was.
99 AgilityYes, the cape I had worked 7 months for.
I remember I stopped at 93 for 2/3 months, the jinx level it was. However, I picked it up and the levels were slow, but I got there in the end.
My first skill cape, however it seemed worth it when I look at it now.
The journey to 99 agility was a personal growth, I changed a lot during it, and learnt a lot as well.

Anyway, those are the highlights of my time here.
And I have to say every moment is worth it.
I feel at home here.
I like the nights I spend just in the irc chat with the aussies + such.
Hopefully I have many years to come
