Error_game_caps - Graphics card does not have minimum required features.

Runescape was unable to start because the graphics card in your machine indicated it didn't have the features needed to play RuneScape in high detail mode.

To resolve this:

You may get this message if you have your webbrowser minimised or non-visible whilst the game is loading. Please make sure that whilst the game is loading, you keep the webbrowser window visible and don't minimise it.

Ensure you have the latest drivers for your graphics card installed. You can typically download the most recent drivers by visiting the card manufacturers website.

If your webbrowser wasn't minimised during loading AND you already have the latest drivers, but you are still getting this message, then it may be your graphics card simply isn't capable enough. You can probably still play, just not in high detail mode. Please go back to the detail select page, and select 'standard detail' instead.

If problems persist then please refer to our technical FAQ which can be found in the FAQ section of our website.

So I can't start the new high detailed version of runescape which is pretty tragic since it looks so great. Is there any way anyone could help me fix my graphics card( i dont know which one i have) or will i just need to buy a new one. If I do need to buy a new one, what am I looking for?

Any help is really appreciated, thank you.

it may not be your graphics card just java, ppl been having this problem, to check ur cpu(processor) and graphics/video card do this..

Go to start>run and type in "dxdiag". That will show you most of the crap on your computer. ON the first page should say processor. Check it out if it meets the rs one. If your not shure pm me and ill check. To check you videp/graphic card go to display and under name: it should be there. It also shows you how much ram you have. Make sure you have about 300mbz ram available.(thats also on the front page)

If you need more help pm me or anyone else ill check out your comp and hopefully help you out. wink.gif

If the cpu and graphics/video card are fine its either java isnt updated or other things that i can check out.. biggrin.gif

Checked everything and I think it is my graphic card, the drivers specifically that are out of date. I checked out the Intel website to download a new one, don't really know what I'm looking for but whenever I'm on the confirm download page, nothing comes up for me to accept. Bad luck tbh. Thank you for your help fellow Split and to Eechye, thank you, too.
