Time for an activity sweep.

By Colinwarrior on 05/07/2008
Ok, seriously..we really need an activity sweep. Here's some quick numbers:

139 regular members + 43 emeritus = 182 total members.

About 80 of those even bothered to sign up for the Exer war.

We pulled 47 people to that war.

This is unacceptable, even though the opponent was not a very challenging one, so don't use that excuse. We pulled like 55 people to the LPK war, which was arguably our toughest war in this tournament.

Pulling 26% of our memberlist is not cool..it's downright pathetic.

Come on people..

I agree.
Needs to be done.
I feel ashamed we only pull 47 to wars now.

The last war of this CWPL season is next week, after that I will work on assembling the sign up's/attendances and so on to see how people have done throughout the war season.

I know we really need one now.... but kicking people right at the end of the season is pointless, it will be better to get the memberlist prepared in time for the next season with less inactives and those emeritus that are participating on it.

It's on the top of my list if I get council.....

We gotta keep in mind that its holiday weekend

Still, I agree. For our memberlist, thats TERRIBLE

By Troll84 on 05/07/2008
Yep, Needs to be done asap. As evil said though, it's pointless to simply kick a whole load of people as the season comes to a close. Better to simply remove people in time for next season, so our memberlist reflects our activity.

Alright, yeah..I guess I agree with that. I'm just trying to point out that something needs to be done. Good to see that you are going to do something about it. happy.gif

Erm. I believe our main list of 137 incorporates all our emeritus? No?
Besides that point, we need an activity check ASAP. Signups are shit. Showup hash.pngs are shit. Our turn out percentage is pathetic.

I made a post about this two weeks ago. Was any thought taken after it at all?

Same. If I get council it is one of the first things I intend to do smile.gif

Yes I'd like brownie points too.
I'd do that if I were council as well.

Mod beat Lpt in full out. We're gonna need 70+ to beat them.

Activity sweep should be number one priority right now

By Abmanju on 06/07/2008
Once Council elections is over, I am thinking of making a staff rank to counter inactivity.

Well from past events the last 3 weeks, I would make a list of how many people showed up to events, look at how many made forum posts, and how many didn't vote for council.
If they failed to vote for someone, pm them on forums asking them why, if no reply is made in 5 days(search inactivity topic). Kick them
If they have made any posts on forums, pm them asking why they haven't, if no reply is made in 5 days kick them.
If they are emeritus ask they why they havent been going to wars/not forum active/ whatever. And make sure they are still capable of going to wars on rs if they don't have a locked account or something.
If they have failed to signup for cwpl wars, or havent shown when 80-100%....they need to explain. If no response after 3 days kick them.

Trial Guardian+ should have 3 days to reply to the pm really. As a member of WG, cheaking the forums daily if not every 3 days.....is sad and they shouldn't be here.

Emeritus should have some other sort of check for inactivity, but they need to be dealt with also.....even if they are Emeritus and inactive.

I don't think the last war was a very good indicator of activity levels, however it is surprising how many people did not even bother to sign up for the war. I am usually highly critical of inactivity sweeps as being rash, ineffective, and applied unfairly, however if less than 70 people show up for the MoD war even I will agree that a mild inactivity sweep needs to happen. For now though I will remain optomistic about WG's potential activity levels. Telling people we are inactive is not the kind of motivation we need to win a war.
